"Sisters! Our sacrifice is here, we can now begin the ritual!" Ruth happily announced, leaving me bewildered and horrified.


"I am not a sacrifice!" I firmly argued and got up with the motive of leaving the carriage only to hear Peculiar whisper something.


I knew it was a spell but I looked at her little self who thought something was going to happen.


When nothing happened, she blinked in shock and looked to her Aunty for help.


Ruth on the other hand looked very young and beautiful but in an alarming way. She looked very much like Lovett and her eyes were on me in surprise and she blurted out, "she will make a worthy sacrifice for the ritual."


With that, she took hold of my arm with the aim of pulling me out of the carriage and I let her.


Once she had helped me down and we were outside, I landed her a blow in the face, catching her completely off guard and her hold around me loosened.
