[Ashrik's space, two days later]
The afternoon sunlight filtered through the overlapping canopies of the forest, and the rays scattered gold across the mossy ground. The area was quiet, save for Ashrik and Isaac's footsteps.
They had just arrived here, deep inside the forest. Instead of flying as usual, Ashrik simply followed when Isaac suggested they ride superbikes. Both vehicles were parked far away from the clearing.
As if the birds and crickets sensed something unusual loomed, their calls became sparse and distant. Eventually, they flapped their wings and hopped off, leaving the area.
Ashrik strode to the center of the clearing while Isaac had already stopped. The latter leaned against a tree trunk a few meters away, plucking a blade of grass to chew between his teeth.
