The next morning, OG didn't have to report to the company. Instead, they had an exclusive interview scheduled with one of the biggest entertainment media outlets to promote their comeback.
Meanwhile, Koharu remained at the company, buried under a mountain of paperwork. Even though she couldn't accompany them, one of the large monitors in her office displayed the interview live through the company's internal feed.
She glanced at the screen every now and then while signing documents.
"They're doing well," she murmured.
Rinn, who was organizing files nearby, nodded. "The comeback is receiving good responses."
The interview started smoothly.
The hosts asked about their new album, choreography, recording behind-the-scenes, and funny moments during practice. The members laughed comfortably, and the atmosphere remained cheerful.
Then, one interviewer leaned forward with a smile.
"So... what are your marriage goals?"
The five members exchanged quick glances.
Aiko smiled politely.
"I think we'd like to focus on our music for now."
The interviewer chuckled.
"Come on, everyone dreams about marriage."
Hana laughed awkwardly. "Maybe someday."
The conversation moved on.
Or at least...
they thought it had.
A few minutes later, the same interviewer turned toward Sakura.
"So, Sakura, what kind of person is your ideal type?"
Sakura smiled professionally.
"I don't think much about dating. Right now, my priority is OG."
The interviewer nodded...
only to continue.
"So you've never dated?"
"Have you ever liked someone?"
"Would you marry a fan?"
"What if a CEO confessed to you?"
Question after question came without pause.
Sakura's smile slowly became forced.
She answered as politely as she could, but the questions became increasingly personal.
Even the other interviewers began exchanging uncomfortable looks.
Back in the company...
The sound of Koharu's pen stopped.
She had been watching quietly until now.
Her expression slowly turned cold.
Very cold.
Rinn noticed immediately.
"...Boss?"
Koharu didn't answer.
Her eyes never left the screen.
The interviewer leaned in again.
"So, Sakura... are you secretly dating someone?"
There was a long silence.
Sakura looked visibly uncomfortable.
Before she could answer—
Koharu picked up her phone.
"Rinn."
"Yes?"
"Stop the interview."
Rinn blinked.
"...Right now?"
"Right now."
Her voice was calm.
Too calm.
"Bring OG back to the company immediately."
"Understood."
"And..."
Koharu's eyes narrowed slightly as she looked at the interviewer on the screen.
"I want the name of the company he works for."
Rinn instantly understood what that tone meant.
She had heard it only a handful of times.
And every single time...
someone's career had been turned upside down.
"I'll find out immediately," Rinn replied before hurrying out of the office.
Koharu placed the phone back on the desk.
Her gaze remained fixed on the monitor.
She had promised Sakura she wouldn't interfere with her career anymore.
But this...
This wasn't promotion.
It was harassment disguised as an interview.
And Koharu wasn't going to let it continue for even one more minute.
