The horn of Thalassa sounded a second time, but this time it was drowned out by a much closer crash. The western wall exploded in a cloud of dust, the demons following Gorath having just literally destroyed the gate.
Kaiser felt the tremors all the way to his position. As expected, the plan he had prepared the day before was unfolding without a hitch.
Before them, Gorath and his two hundred demons poured into the breach like an unleashed torrent. The first sentinels of the western wall, surprised by the explosion and still disoriented by the uproar coming from the south, did not have time to form a shield wall.
