Kaiser opened his eyes, but the clarity that welcomed him had nothing reassuring about it. A fulminating headache was once again pounding his temples.
He was still in shock from the scene he had just lived with his mother, but the metallic smell of blood brutally brought him back to a much more nightmarish present.
"Fuck !" he exclaimed while sweeping his environment with his gaze, his throat dry and irritated by acrid smoke. "Where am I again ?"
In front of him, piles of corpses stretched as far as the eye could see on a ruined field, a sea of inert flesh.
The corpses were diverse with humans, elves of all kinds, demi-beast monsters and even demons.
"What happened ?" stammered Kaiser, trying to understand the cause of such carnage and why the hell he had gotten involved in it.
But unfortunately, he did not have the luxury of thinking any longer when a guttural cry, followed by a terrible killing intent, resonated across the desolate plain.
