Chapter 269 - Chapter 269: Future Plans and Preparations

In three days, desperately working over the women had yielded less than a hundred and twenty portions of Life Essence. Accumulating two thousand portions was still going to be very difficult. Furthermore, it was impossible to do it during the early stages of pregnancy. Only the Life Essence provided by a spouse was the most abundant; the more spouses one had, the larger the base number, and the more would be given.

However, there was a catch: Arthas had to ejaculate inside every time to obtain Life Essence. The consequence of doing so was the spouse becoming pregnant, and once pregnant, they couldn't do it as frequently, or even at all. Relying solely on spouses to obtain large amounts of Life Essence was still somewhat unrealistic—at least in the short term.

Arthas slept for several hours before waking up. He had already made up his mind. After going to Lordaeron, he would select craftsmen to be sent through the Portal to Un'Goro Crater to build a Forward Base. Once the territory was established, he could turn Barrier Jalia into a spouse. His newly deflowered elder sister should be able to handle it for a long time, so he wouldn't have to worry about other issues.

Also, he needed to get Lireesa pregnant and make her his spouse as well. By increasing the number of spouses, he would expand the base amount of Life Essence. The more spouses, the larger the base amount; naturally, the more, the merrier.

"It seems there are still many things to do!" Arthas rubbed his head. After waking up, he ate a quick bite and went to find Alleria to discuss matters.

In Sylvanas's room, Arthas explained his plan to Alleria.

Alleria pondered for a moment. "I'll stay over there. With the help of the Guardian, there won't be much danger."

Pioneering a new territory was a major undertaking. Turning a forest into a town required a great price. Especially in that crater, where fifty-meter-tall trees were everywhere, blotting out the sky so much that it was almost pitch black even during the day. Everything is hard at the beginning; the Guardian's help would only reduce the difficulties, not eliminate them entirely.

At the very least, they needed to find water and food. They had to determine the surrounding ecological environment and avoid harassment from poisonous snakes and insects; all of this required scouting. Otherwise, building houses directly over a snake pit would lead to uncontrollable disasters! Thus, it was not a simple task and required professionals.

"It's dangerous there too; I can't let you risk yourself." Arthas disagreed. Moreover, there was one thing he didn't mention: he wanted to have his way with Alleria as much as possible before she got pregnant. Every extra time was a gain.

Hearing the man's words, Alleria was somewhat moved. She smiled lightly, tucking her silky golden hair behind her ear, her beautiful eyes shimmering with amusement. "Don't worry, I'm not that fragile. We live in the forest year-round and are very familiar with the environment."

Arthas stared seriously at his wife. "That place has a rainforest climate; it rains constantly. Because of the lack of sunlight, the ground is covered in dead branches and leaves, damp and muddy. I don't want you staying there. A short time is fine, but not for long. My plan is to have the Windrunner family go first, along with the Dwarf craftsmen and Stone Statue Constructs. They will clear an area and lay the foundation. Once I've handled things here, I'll start sending resources at full capacity to speed up construction."

"So you mean let us go, while Big Sister stays behind? You bastard, are you trying to bully my big sister!" Sylvanas wasn't polite; she had never given Arthas a good look. Her purity had been mostly tarnished by him, and her body had been seen and toyed with; she felt somewhat filthy herself.

Arthas laughed and pinched Sylvanas's cheek. "I want to bully all three of you sisters." He then turned and poured a glass of red wine. "Do you think the future can be changed?"

Sylvanas didn't get angry yet, only raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I'm saying I've never believed in so-called prophecies, especially those concerning the future. Did you know? I saw the future of the three of you. Alleria died in the shattered Draenor. You became an Undead Banshee, continuing to live as a dead person. Vereesa also died in the war. And I... became a controlled Death Knight, a puppet without a soul, at the mercy of others."

Alleria walked over and hugged Arthas from behind, stroking his hair with heartache. "None of that will happen. It won't happen!" Her whispering voice sounded piteous.

Arthas turned and pulled Alleria into his arms, then flashed a brilliant smile. "That was an influence of the Old Gods. Deathwing was driven mad by such whispers; now, he is merely atoning for his past. I know it was an illusion, even if it felt incredibly real. But no matter how real it is, it's still an illusion. I will never let anything happen to you, or the two of them! If anything happened to them, Alleria would surely be heartbroken. I won't let my woman be sad. Since Alleria became my wife, I have the responsibility and obligation to protect her and let her live happily every day!"

"Husband!" Alleria was moved. She knew Arthas was telling the truth. Although he was lecherous and didn't hide his designs on her two sisters, it was all based on her good relationship with them. It was exactly as her husband said: if anything happened to Sylvanas or Vereesa, she would be devastated.

Sylvanas curled her lip, seemingly disbelieving Arthas's "nonsense." On the contrary, Vereesa clasped her hands together, her face full of longing. "Brother-in-law, you'll make us happy every day too, right?"

"Yes, that's what I intend to do. I won't let you or Sylvanas get hurt," Arthas nodded solemnly. "Nothing will happen."

A tiny ripple formed in Sylvanas's cold heart—just a tiny, subtle one—but it didn't stop her from seeing Arthas in a slightly different light. "If you don't bully my big sister, I'll be happy every day."

"Haha, how is that bullying? We're just propagating the species. Don't you want to be aunts? To have your niece call you 'Auntie'? Alleria is so beautiful; I'd be very happy to have a precious daughter just like her." Arthas didn't particularly crave a son; a daughter was a "sweet little padded jacket."
