"I will return to Ulduar to guide my main body here. This is a laboratory created by the Life-Binder; not even Odyn has jurisdiction over it, let alone Loken. Champion, I need you to operate the facility here to awaken my main body." Freya's avatar explained the plan. It was unrealistic for Arthas to go to Ulduar, so it was safer for her main body to come out instead. Besides, she had also received a bit of Eonar's power, which would allow her main body to regain consciousness.
"I'd rather not expose myself," Arthas said with a shrug. "I still need time to grow. If Loken notices me, I'll be in trouble. At this stage, it's not wise to provoke a being I can't beat or at least run away from. He's too good at plotting and scheming. Having someone like that around would make me lose sleep."
"Don't worry, you won't attract his attention. He is also afraid of the Titans finding out what he has done. Before the great Titans, the Old Gods are nothing but worms. Even the most powerful Old God, Y'Shaarj, was a being that the venerable Aman'Thul crushed with a casual grasp. Once my true self regains consciousness, I can control the Sholazar Basin to provide you with assistance." Freya's avatar insisted on awakening her true self. If possible, she even wanted to awaken the other deluded guardians.
"We can leave openly, then use Teleportation Magic to come back. That should allow us to evade Loken's notice." Onyxia was now a Dragon Aspect as well and knew a few things about the guardians. She felt that cooperating with a guardian would be very beneficial. If Loken was so afraid of the Titans finding out, then she could use that to her advantage.
It wasn't a problem if the enemy had a weakness; the problem was if they didn't. When it came to playing tricks, Onyxia was quite skilled, at least much more so than her husband, Arthas.
"After we awaken Freya, we can be 'selected' under the pretext of Freya recruiting champions, and then we can cooperate. Husband, you need to continue providing energy to the Titan soul. Once we can awaken the other guardians, Loken's power will be greatly diminished. Besides, didn't you say that the Burning Legion and the Old Gods are mortal enemies? We can use that to our advantage." Onyxia explained the plan she had come up with. It was a general outline that still needed its details fleshed out, but just hearing it made Arthas feel it was excellent. This was a plan with potential!
As long as Freya could be successfully awakened, it would inevitably attract Loken's attention. There were many demons on Azeroth at this stage. If the Burning Legion were to truly invade, they could use Ulduar as a shield. After all, the Burning Legion and the Old Gods had always been mortal enemies, with no room for compromise. Sargeras created the Burning Legion to overthrow the forces of the Void, and the Old Gods were the personification of Void energy, exceptionally skilled at infesting planets. A conflict between the two was inevitable so they could be appropriately pitted against each other.
If necessary, they could use Freya to channel Eonar's aura to intimidate Loken. The man was timid, cautious, and skilled at calculation. However, Onyxia believed that with the help of a Titan, they should have the upper hand.
"Alright, it's decided then." Arthas agreed to the plan, his large hand stroking his wife's plump, perky bottom. "Wifey, I really do need your help. This kind of scheming and plotting really isn't my cup of tea."
Onyxia rolled her eyes. Was he saying she was good at manipulating people? On second thought, she was indeed very skilled at being a social butterfly.
"My mother will act with you. Many of my schemes were taught to me by my mother. She will be responsible for raising Artemis. We still have more Dragon Eggs to purify later. The Black Dragonflight is too weak. If we had intact, uncorrupted Dragon Eggs, the Black Dragonflight wouldn't be reduced to just a few of us."
"Everything will get better." Arthas's heart beat a little faster. Sending his mother-in-law to his side so quickly, wasn't this a hint that he could have a taste? But it was better to do this kind of thing secretly. No matter how open-minded Onyxia was, she probably couldn't stand her husband fantasizing about her mother to her face. She was still a daughter, after all, and had her pride!
The group exited the laboratory and swaggered away, transforming into Black Dragons. Arthas even let out a wild, arrogant laugh. After they left, Freya's avatar threw a tantrum, destroying the surrounding forest. Thick tree trunks were snapped in half, and even the ground was blasted with deep craters.
After cursing Arthas and the others, Freya's avatar quickly departed. This was all a show for Loken.
Loken was indeed in Ulduar, using a Titan Facility to watch what was happening in the Sholazar Basin. He couldn't control the facilities there, but he could observe most regions of Azeroth. Just as Onyxia had predicted, he, like Deathwing, had retained his sanity and had not completely fallen. Otherwise, he wouldn't be afraid of the Titans returning, discovering the mess he'd made, and holding him accountable. He simply had no way back and could only continue down this dark path.
"Hmm?" Loken was a little puzzled. Although he didn't think much of the so-called Dragon Aspects, he couldn't deny that these Dragons did have some skill. A head-on confrontation wasn't his style; he still had to find a way to weaken his opponents. It was just that there was no conflict of interest at the moment, so he couldn't be bothered to interfere.
It took only three hours to fly from the Sholazar Basin back to the Nexus, an incredibly long distance. And this was by flight, ignoring factors like uphill and downhill slopes on the ground, as well as river obstacles. That it still took so long just to fly showed that Northrend was even larger than imagined.
Malygos personally received Arthas and observed Athena for a moment, nodding in satisfaction. "Not bad. She even has a trace of Guardian Power on her, and her affinity for Arcane energy is very high. We have some more Dragon Eggs here. Help us cleanse the corruption, and then we'll have them incubated."
"Where's the magic I asked for?" Arthas didn't agree right away, but started asking for his reward.
A vein throbbed on Malygos's forehead. It was an honor to do a service for the Dragons! He opened his mouth, but realizing the other party was a petty person who insisted on getting something in return, he just snorted and took out a magical tome.
"This is a book of Arcane spells, along with a partial map of Azeroth's Ley Lines. Magic cast using Ley Line Energy can have its power multiplied, and Teleportation through the Ley Lines is faster, more convenient, and safer."
