Chapter 190 - Chapter 190: The Dragon Rider Appears

Orgrim also appeared outside the city, staring at the walls of Lordaeron that had resisted their assault for so long. The walls were clearly on the verge of collapse, yet the Alliance soldiers held their ground with grim determination. The mages' magical bombardments often inflicted heavy casualties on the Orcs. Whenever the catapults got too close, ballistae on the high towers of the city walls would fire bolts, pinning the catapults and the Orcs operating them to the ground!

"Pass the order! Push harder! Once we take Lordaeron, this land will belong to the Horde! None of us will have to eat dirt again! Orcs will never be slaves! For honor!" Orgrim knew he had to break Lordaeron! A large portion of the Alliance's forces was already tied down, fighting the main Horde army in the Hinterlands and at Talon Peak Mountain. The forces at Talon Peak Mountain had already begun to move toward the Hinterlands, and he had brought a portion of them with him to attack Lordaeron. As long as Lordaeron fell, the Alliance would immediately shatter!

Orgrim could already see the dawn of victory. With just one more push, Lordaeron would belong to the Horde! After six years of war, he had finally defeated the humans, allowing the Horde to thrive in this land! Draenor had been corrupted by Fel Energy and could no longer sustain the Orcs, making the invasion of other worlds inevitable. It was a pity about the Bleeding Hollow Clan and the Burning Blade Clan—traitors who wouldn't listen to reason!

"Warchief, Gul'dan has deserted. The Lordaeron Expeditionary Force has begun to return by sea!" An Orc scout delivered the intelligence, sending Orgrim into a towering rage. He had been played! Played by Gul'dan! That Orc warlock had harbored treacherous intentions from the very beginning. Despite all his precautions, he had failed to guard against the other's schemes!

"Damn it! I must kill Gul'dan!" Orgrim was utterly furious. He hadn't been this angry even when the Burning Blade and Bleeding Hollow clans surrendered. After all, it was a surrender. Though shameful, surrendering after being defeated was at least a reason, an explanation. But desertion was absolutely unforgivable, especially from Gul'dan, the main culprit who had brought the Horde to its current state! If not for Gul'dan's assassins killing the king of Stormwind, the Orcs might have been able to negotiate for land to recuperate. From the moment Llane died, there was absolutely no possibility of reconciliation between Orcs and humans. For this reason, Orgrim hated Gul'dan to the bone.

On the walls of Lordaeron, Terenas was also covered in blood. His guards protected him desperately as he cut down numerous Orcs who had climbed the walls. The blood was all from the Orcs.

The fierce assault continued for half a day, and the defensive line was wavering. But all the city's residents had been mobilized; anyone who could hold a weapon was sent to the battlefield. The wounded were taken down for treatment, but the lightly injured did not leave the front lines!

"Everyone, hold on! Reinforcements will surely arrive! My son, Arthas, has already sent me a magical message. He will lead reinforcements to support us! Everyone, what we need to do now is hold on! Hold on until the reinforcements arrive! The Orcs have washed countless homes in blood. For our families, hold the walls! For the Alliance! For Lordaeron!" Terenas delivered a speech to rally morale. He was indeed a king of both courage and wisdom, and he possessed immense charisma.

Orgrim watched Terenas on the wall from afar, and even he had to marvel at his opponent's tenacity. They were clearly at the end of their rope, yet they persisted. They were down to their last breath, yet the Horde's soldiers still couldn't break through. But the more powerful the enemy, the more valuable their head was as a trophy!

"Terenas, you are as brave and tenacious as an Orc! It's just a pity that you will soon be defeated! I will leave you an intact corpse. You are a worthy opponent!"

Dong! Dong! Dong! Suddenly, the sound of the Orcs' kodo war drums echoed from the rear, accompanied by the sounds of battle cries. A green dragon soared into the sky. A handsome knight in armor sat on the dragon's neck, holding a gleaming longsword. Who else could it be but Arthas!

"People of Lordaeron, I have brought reinforcements! For the Alliance! For Lordaeron! For Terenas! Kill!" Arthas brandished his longsword. Beneath him, Emeriss, back in her dragon form, opened her mouth and spat out scorching dragonfire. As she swept quickly through the air, the flames burned so hot they even carried an aura that induced sleep, causing the burning Orcs to be incinerated alive in a deep slumber!

"Mass Resurrection!" Arthas began to cast the spell, and a powerful Holy Light gathered in his longsword.

Emeriss's high-speed flight prevented arrows and shadow magic from hitting him. When the ten-second channeling time was over, a holy radiance descended from the sky. The soldiers and farmers who had fallen in battle below began to rise again under the Holy Light. Each one picked up their weapon and, after a brief moment of confusion, let out a fanatical roar, charging at the astonished Orcs!

"Arthas!" Orgrim's eyes looked ready to split as he stared at the prince in the sky. This was his lifelong nemesis! He could have enslaved powerful creatures like the red dragons to fight for the Horde, but this boy had ruined it, leading to the direct destruction of the Dragonmaw clan!

The second time was in Quel'Thalas. Without Arthas, he would have long since breached Silvermoon City and, together with the Forest Trolls, annihilated the Alliance.

Why would he have needed to risk a surprise attack on Lordaeron? Once a surprise attack is discovered, it's no longer a surprise attack, but a siege! And sieges were what the Orcs found most difficult; it was the death of them!

Now, Arthas once again stood in his way. This infuriated Orgrim so much he was on the verge of dropping dead on the spot!

"Reinforcements are here! Everyone, kill!" Terenas looked proudly at his son riding the dragon in the sky.

Although his relationship with his wife, Lianne, was not good—it was even one of hatred—he had to admit that the child they had raised was excellent. Seeing how well his son and wife got along, he tolerated what Lianne had done.

It was his fault, after all. At least Lianne had been upfront with him, rather than scheming behind his back.

Roar! The crumbling defensive line immediately stabilized, the resurrected soldiers perfectly filling the gaps. Soaring morale made the soldiers fight fearlessly, once again pushing back the Orc soldiers who had scaled the walls.

Countless Orcs were thrown from the high walls, falling to their deaths! Even those who didn't die were left wailing, which further demoralized the surrounding Orc soldiers. A sentiment of war-weariness and fear began to spread. If allowed to fester, it could very well lead to a rout!
