Chapter 185 - Chapter 185: Internal Discussion

Meanwhile, after requesting a unit of Spellbreaker Troops from his father, Kael'thas took his followers and, with the cooperation of the Windrunner family, launched a counterattack against the Trolls.

Since the Trolls were scattered, and some of their gathering points had been marked by Gul'dan, they could be completely annihilated with magic as soon as they were located and confirmed. Once they were blasted to bits, their Regenerative Ability was no longer a concern.

The Amani Trolls were stunned by the sudden magical assault. They had just dispersed, only to be picked off one by one. By the time Zul'jin reacted, the other scattered clans were already being encircled and annihilated by the Rangers.

It was as if the enemy's magic knew their locations; once they were detected, they were blanketed by powerful spells. Those long-eared Elves were casting all sorts of powerful magic without any regard for mana consumption. This was completely beyond their expectations, and they were suddenly beaten so badly they didn't know which way was up.

Compounding their problems, communication was difficult, making coordination extremely hard. Often, by the time an order was passed down, the clan might have already been wiped out. They were supposed to provide support, but ended up getting killed themselves, completely unable to help the other Trolls.

A chain reaction caused the Forest Trolls' front to begin to collapse, forcing even Zul'jin to retreat and gather his routed forces.

Otherwise, these scattered Trolls would be crushed one by one or flee into the deep mountains and forests, and it would take years to gather them again. Those who could fight were inevitably elite Trolls in their prime, and these Trolls were treasures to their primitive tribes.

At the Expeditionary Force's command headquarters, Lady Jandice used a magic map to show the Trolls' retreat route. The Lordaeron Expeditionary Force chose not to pursue, but to reorganize instead. They needed to get the two newly joined orc clans to understand simple commands like advance, retreat, rest, and make camp.

Coordinating different races was extremely troublesome. The biggest language barrier was a huge headache for Arthas.

However, Lady Jandice proposed using an Intellect Spell and a Language Spell to solve the problem. Magic could be used to temporarily enhance brain activity, and by replicating the template of the Common Tongue, people could learn it in a short amount of time.

"Will that really work?" Arthas felt his question was a bit idiotic.

He rarely interacted with other races, and as a warrior, he had little contact with the knowledge of mages.

Lady Jandice giggled, covering her mouth, her eyes revealing a charming allure. She had thought Arthas knew everything. So there were things this powerful young man didn't know!

Sylvanas, on the other hand, found an opportunity to mock Arthas mercilessly.

"Of course it's useful. This is how Elves learn the human Common Tongue. It's much faster than rote memorization. The fast ones take three days, the slow ones a week at most. Heh, as for you, it would probably take a month!" The subtext was that he was stupid!

Alleria tugged at her sister's arm and looked at Arthas. "She's just kidding."

"Of course I know. It doesn't matter. As long as the job gets done, nothing else is an issue. We should be able to prepare for withdrawal soon. I'll arrange for Marlene to be stationed here until the Trolls have completely withdrawn from Quel'Thalas. The rest of you will return to Lordaeron with me. If I'm not mistaken, the Horde's next move is to take a detour and launch a surprise attack on Lordaeron. As long as they break Lordaeron, the Alliance will naturally collapse. Faced with the fractured human kingdoms, the united Horde can easily defeat them. There are still three hundred thousand Orcs in Hillsbrad and nearly two hundred thousand at Talon Peak Mountain. The number of Orcs who came to attack Quel'Thalas was less than one hundred and fifty thousand," Arthas analyzed, showing no hesitation as he proposed to withdraw the army.

"How can you be so sure!" Sylvanas seemed to have grown much bolder. She raised her long eyebrows, her eyes looking at Arthas with a hint of provocation.

She hated him to death now. His filthy cock had been in her mouth, and for the past few days, she felt like there was a strange taste in her mouth. It was too disgusting.

"The Horde can only sustain itself by pillaging. They can't last long. And after drinking the Demon Blood, their strength can increase greatly in a short time. But this method, which comes at the cost of their life force, cannot be sustained. If they don't find an opportunity to rest and recuperate, the Orcs will destroy themselves from physical collapse without us even having to lift a finger."

After speaking, Arthas looked at Sylvanas.

"The ones manipulating the Orcs from behind are demons of the Burning Legion. You should know about the battle at the Well of Eternity ten thousand years ago. That was caused by the Burning Legion's invasion. Now they've gotten smarter and are using a different method to invade. Heh, we still have many threats to face. External threats and internal threats!"

Seeing Arthas so serious for the first time, Sylvanas felt a little unaccustomed to it. She snorted and said no more. She would investigate it herself, rather than listen to Arthas's nonsense.

Vereesa, however, was listening very intently. "Then what are the internal threats?"

"The Old Gods. A group of alien creatures. They are like parasites, infesting the world and eventually corrupting it into a mass of flesh and blood. Have you ever seen an octopus? They look something like that, full of octopus legs, big eyeballs, or sharp teeth. They are very powerful ancient beings that are extremely skilled at using whispers that corrupt mortals. The most obvious example is the Naga, who were cursed by the Old Gods. Their will is to turn all living creatures into their puppets. If you don't want to become ugly, disgusting, and lose your own consciousness, the best way is to eliminate them." Arthas's tone was a bit heavy.

Dealing with the Old Gods would not be easy.

"Hmph, you make them sound so powerful," Sylvanas retorted as usual, though she was pondering the truth of his words in her heart.

"You don't need to doubt it, because the former Black Dragon King was being corrupted, which caused a turn of events in the War of the Ancients. He would have become a pawn of the Old Gods. The Red Dragon Queen's capture not long ago was also, in part, because of them. I won't go into the specifics, but if you really want to see for yourself, then go to Northrend. That place is basically crawling with the Old Gods' minions. You can see many dick-faced Faceless Ones there."

Arthas sneered,

"Don't think this world is safe. That's just because your strength is nowhere near the level where you can interfere. In the eyes of the Dragon Aspects, you're just an ant that can be crushed at will. Would you chat about life with an ant? Idiot!"

"You're the idiot!"

"Takes one to know one!"

"Hmph!"

Watching the two of them bicker, Alleria gently touched her forehead. She really felt a bit of a headache coming on. They were just too childish!
