Chapter 164 - Snatching Perseus's Prey

Perseus looked at Abel and Salvatore Doni behind him, feeling amused. So these were the Campiones of this generation.

He continued, "Oh, Campiones of this generation, after you know my name, I will display my martial prowess. But before that, I will fulfill my duty as a Dragon Slayer and slay the dragon before me."

Perseus drew his sword and looked at the dragon before him.

Abel and Salvatore Doni stood with their arms crossed, watching the Heretic God perform.

Perseus strode towards the dragon, which, sensing the threat, let out a roar and spewed scorching flames.

As the flames approached, Perseus ascended into the sky, his body enveloped in blue aura, and descended with his sword raised.

At this moment, a girl in a white dress appeared and then lay on Abel's back. This was Athena.

Salvatore Doni, who had been observing the battle, instantly drew his sword. Although he didn't know who she was, he was certain that the girl before him was a Heretic God.

But then he heard the girl say, "It's been a while, Master."

Saying that, the girl kissed Abel on the cheek.

Abel smiled. "Yes, it's been a while, Athena. You've been playing around instead of coming home, haven't you?"

"I was just looking for my lost power."

Listening to their casual conversation, Salvatore Doni went from being alert to lowering his guard.

His mind worked, and then he came to a conclusion.

That was, his dear friend had actually conquered a Heretic God and made her willingly become his servant.

Thinking of this, he burst out laughing. "Hahaha, as expected of my dear friend, he easily accomplished what others could not."

The dragon was continuously wounded by Perseus's attacks, which made its already injured state even worse.

Perseus flicked his sword to the side, the blood flicking away.

"This is the final blow, wicked dragon."

Saying that, he held his sword with both hands and slashed down towards the dragon.

At this moment, Athena made her move. She stood in front of the dragon, and with a raise of her hand, a protective shield enveloped the dragon.

"What a willful servant." Abel smiled, looking at Athena's actions.

Perseus's sword struck against the protective shield, his attack completely blocked.

"Medusa?"

"No… it should be Athena."

"Whoever you are, hand over the dragon."

For Perseus, both dragons and Mother Earth Goddess were his enemies. But for Athena, dragons were her kin, her companions. Thus, the two sides confronted each other.

Meanwhile, Abel and Salvatore Doni came to the dragon's side.

For Abel, who possessed Athena's authority, this dragon also belonged to his kin.

Looking at the dragon before him, he thought about how to forge it into a useful equipment.

"Hey, dragon, do you want to live?"

As Abel spoke, Perseus's face turned ugly. This was undoubtedly a slap in the face for him, a Dragon Slayer. He raised his sword and began to gather power.

Athena and Salvatore Doni stood in front of Abel, looking at Perseus.

"I can't let you disturb Master/my dear friend."

Perseus laughed loudly. "As a god, to become a Campione's servant?"

Then he looked at Salvatore Doni. "And you… a Campione with the authority of the Steel Hero, to call a warrior with the hateful 'Sun' your dear friend, how rebellious."

Athena and Salvatore Doni were indifferent.

Who said these things couldn't be done?

While the three were confronting each other, Abel placed his hand on the dragon's head. The dragon glowed, then transformed into a green orb.

He and the dragon signed a contract, just like Azazel and Fafnir, but this one was to follow him forever.

Moreover, he felt that taking away the power of Greece's ley lines was quite interesting, and then turning it into an equipment after returning was not a bad idea either.

Abel held the orb in his hand and stored it in the Kamui Dimension. Then he looked at the two confronting sides.

Perseus's face showed no change as Abel snatched his prey. He was used to it. Next, he would have to face a Heretic God and a Campione.

He didn't think that he, a Heretic God, would be let go by two Campiones. After all, he possessed the authority that Campiones desired.

"Are you going to fight me next, Campiones?"

"I, who am a hero, never fear anyone's challenge, so which of you two will fight me?"

Facing Perseus's question, Abel and Salvatore Doni looked at each other.

"How about you?"

"Don't you want to?"

"I do, but you're my dear friend."

"You're really willful, Salvatore."

Looking at the two of them pushing him away like an item, Perseus's eyes grew cold. They were insulting a god.

Just as he was about to make a move, the two looked at Perseus.

"Perseus, who do you want to fight among us?"

Hearing this, Perseus's expression became a bit ugly.

Although they showed some respect, why did this kind of respect feel a bit unpleasant?

He looked at the two, then his gaze fixed on Abel. This guy not only took his prey but was also a warrior with the hateful title of "Sun," an enemy of heroes like himself who possessed the power of steel.

"Campione, I, Perseus, the hero of the mythical age, the Dragon Slayer, the one who slayed the 'Serpent', challenge you!"

A Heretic God challenging a Campione, that was too amusing.

Abel's lips curled into a smile, and he looked around. His current location was very close to the city, and although they could fight, it would cause widespread destruction.

"I, Devil King Abel, accept your challenge. However, let's find a spacious place to fight."

Perseus looked around and nodded. "Of course, no problem."
