Chapter 79 - Revealing The Truth To Mitsuri

Soon, a steaming bowl of ramen was served.

Mitsuri gulped, looking at the bowl of ramen in front of her, and asked Abel, "Is it okay?"

"Eat."

Having received an affirmative answer, Mitsuri put her hands together.

"I'll dig in."

With that, she began to eat the ramen.

Seeing Mitsuri's blissful expression, Abel asked the boss to cook a dozen more bowls of ramen.

Mitsuri quickly finished her first bowl, and the second bowl was successfully refilled.

Bowl after bowl, Mitsuri was completely immersed in her eating.

More and more people gathered around, their gazes drawn by her astonishing appetite, revealing stunned expressions.

Mitsuri, however, was oblivious, focused solely on enjoying the delicious food, her cheeks puffed out.

When the last bowl of ramen was consumed,

Mitsuri came back to her senses, looking at the stack of bowls beside her, her face blushing again, followed by a somewhat flustered expression.

"I ate so much, will he dislike me?"

She looked at Abel with some unease, but he just smiled at her.

"Are you full?"

"I'm full."

Mitsuri quickly added, "Um… actually, I don't usually eat this much."

Abel shook his head and said, "In my hometown, there's an old saying: 'To be able to eat is a blessing.' Also, don't compromise yourself to cater to others."

Mitsuri's heart fluttered even more as she listened to Abel's words. The man in front of her was the husband she had been hoping for.

"Would you like some more?"

"But… no, Abel-kun, I'm done eating."

"Are you really not having more?"

Mitsuri hesitated for a moment but still shook her head. "No, really, Abel-kun, I'm afraid eating too much will cause you trouble."

Abel smiled and called the boss to pay the bill.

As the boss announced the price, Mitsuri felt a bit embarrassed.

"Um, boss, I'll…"

"No need, I can afford this much for noodles."

After settling the bill, the two walked out of the shop side by side.

Seeing that the weather outside was still pleasant, Abel turned his head to Mitsuri and said, "So, Mitsuri-san, what shall we do next?"

"Where does Abel-kun want to go?"

"I'm sorry, Mitsuri-san, I'm unfamiliar with this place."

"Oh, I see."

Listening to Abel's words, Mitsuri tilted her head in thought, then her eyes lit up as she seemed to remember something, looking at Abel.

"I know."

"Then I'll leave it to you."

Listening to Abel's words, Mitsuri's cheeks felt a bit hot. She lowered her head and pulled his arm, running towards a certain place.

Mitsuri pulled Abel along, excitedly saying, "Abel-kun, I know a place. I'll take you there."

...

Soon, they arrived at a bustling market. People came and went, and various stalls were dazzling.

Mitsuri pulled Abel through the various stalls. One moment she would point to a hair ornament and say it looked good, the next she would point to a small animal and say it would surely be delicious when it grew up.

The two weaved through the streets. However, Mitsuri frequented the snack shops more often. A bit of tempura here, a taiyaki there.

Finally, the two stopped at a small shop specializing in sakura mochi. Mitsuri was clearly a regular customer here.

"Grandma Ito, I'm here!"

Grandma Ito, who was making sakura mochi, looked up when she heard Mitsuri's voice.

"Oh, it's Mitsuri."

Then she looked at Abel beside her. "And this is?"

"Abel-kun, my blind date." Mitsuri said proudly.

This time, her blind date was successful!

"Hello, Grandma Ito." Abel greeted the old woman.

Grandma Ito looked at Abel and was quite pleased, then she looked at Mitsuri and said, "It seems Mitsuri has found the person to spend her life with."

Listening to her words, Mitsuri smiled very happily. Yes, she had found that person.

"Of course. Grandma Ito, please give me two sakura mochi."

"Alright."

In a moment, Grandma Ito brought out two sakura mochi.

Mitsuri took them, handing one to Abel and holding one herself. She took a small bite, and her face instantly filled with satisfaction.

Abel also took a bite. It was sweet but not greasy, and a refreshing aroma spread in his mouth. The taste was surprisingly good.

Abel hadn't even finished his first one when Mitsuri said to Grandma Ito, "Grandma Ito, another one."

"Alright."

Time passed by like this, little by little.

The sky gradually darkened, and the sun set on time.

The two sat on a mountaintop, looking at the lights below.

Mitsuri looked at Abel. Today was a special day for her, she had met someone she could entrust herself to.

"Abel-kun."

"What's wrong?" Abel looked at the blushing Mitsuri.

"I… I hope to be your wife." Mitsuri said, looking at Abel with expectant eyes.

Looking at the young girl in front of him, Abel smiled. Now it was time for the truth.

"Mitsuri-san, I am not human. I am a devil."

As he spoke, Abel spread his wings.

Seeing Abel suddenly grow wings, Mitsuri was visibly stunned. But Abel's next words put her at ease.

Abel continued, "I have many wives, but I will absolutely treat everyone equally. So, Mitsuri-san, are you willing to become my wife? To become a devil?"

Listening to Abel's words, Mitsuri didn't know why she felt a sense of anticipation.

Was it because of the harsh words from her previous blind dates, which had made her feel inferior?

Or was it because she had spent such a happy and fulfilling day with Abel?

He didn't care about her hair color. Instead, he praised her for being beautiful and cute.

He didn't mind her eating a lot. Instead, he asked if she was full and if she needed more.

He didn't mind her great strength. Instead, he embraced her.

She didn't dislike the idea of becoming Abel's wife, of becoming a devil.

Looking at Abel, Mitsuri boldly leaned in and gently kissed his lips. Then she said seriously, "I am willing to become Abel-kun's wife, and I am also willing to become a devil."

Abel asked, "Have you thought it through? Once you agree, it cannot be changed. From now on, you will not only be my wife but also my retainer, and also my possession."

"No problem."

Mitsuri's eyes were filled with Abel. "As long as I can be with Abel-kun forever."

If she became a devil, she could be with Abel forever. Wasn't that a beautiful thing?

She had found her own home, and as for what others said, let them say it.

She looked at Abel and said seriously, "Abel-kun, please turn me into a devil."

Looking at the serious Mitsuri, Abel smiled slightly, then took out a Rook piece.

"Show me your chest, Mitsuri."

Mitsuri's cheeks flushed, but she still opened her collar slightly, revealing her chest.

Abel slowly pressed the Rook chess piece onto her chest. Mitsuri felt a cold sensation, followed by something seemingly entering her body.

As the piece entered her body, Mitsuri glowed with white light, and the transformation began.

Abel temporarily ignored the system, his gaze fixed on Mitsuri. 'I wonder what level her power will reach after reincarnation.'

He was somewhat looking forward to how strong Mitsuri, who was already eight times stronger than an ordinary person, would become after turning into a devil.
