**Team 3 – Inside the Third Portal**
The soldier whose arm was still draped over the headless body didn't understand at first.
Warm spray hit her neck—thick, metallic, smelling of copper and iron.
She laughed—nervous, trying to break the tension.
"Guys… whose prank is this—"
She turned her head.
The body stood upright beside her.
No head.
Just raw, torn muscle, exposed bone, and a jagged stump where the neck had been.
Blood still pumped—slow, dying spurts.
The body collapsed forward.
**THUD.**
She screamed.
**"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"**
The sound tore through the chamber—raw, animal.
Everyone froze.
Then chaos.
**"What happened?!"**
**"Contact! Contact!"**
Soldiers scrambled back—rifles swinging wildly.
The headless body twitched once on the ground.
Then something moved in the shadows.
A humanoid figure stepped forward.
Tall.
Two legs.
Walking like a man.
But wrong.
Skin like cracked stone, purple veins glowing faintly.
It dragged half a monster carcass behind it—eating as it walked.
The soldiers opened fire.
**BRRRT—BRRRT—BRRRT!**
Bullets sparked off its hide.
It didn't stop.
It threw the half-eaten corpse aside.
Then charged.

The monster was fast.
Too fast.
It slammed into the front line.
One soldier's head twisted 180°—neck snapping like dry wood.
Another's legs shattered—bones exploding outward.
A third was grabbed—body ripped in half mid-scream.
It reached out, snatched a falling rifle from the air, and drove the bayonet straight through another soldier's chest. With a wet schlick, it reached into the cavity, pulled out the still-beating heart, and took a long, lick it.
But spit it the exact moment.
Blood painted the crystal walls.
Hyung stood frozen.
He couldn't hear anything.
Only the blood rushing in his ears.
Soldiers screamed for him.
**"Hyung! Help!"**
**"Kim Ji—do something!"**
Kim Ji stood right beside him—voice breaking.
"Hyung…!"
The monster lunged toward her.
Clawed hand raised.
Hyung moved.
Sword ignited.
He slashed—left arm swinging in a perfect arc.
**SHING!**
The monster's hand flew off—severed at the wrist.
It staggered back—staring at the stump.
Hyung looked at Kim Ji.
She was terrified—eyes wide, breathing fast.
He turned to the monster.
"Kim Ji… don't blink. Protect yourself. Just… stay alive."
He pressed the button on his boots.
**WHOOSH!**
Rocket thrust launched him upward.
He spun horizontally—body like a buzzsaw.
The monster swung its remaining arm.
Hyung was already gone.
He appeared behind its knee.
**SLASH!**
Achilles tendon snapped.
The monster collapsed sideways.
Hyung didn't give it time to recover.
He spun two, three, four times in mid-air. Each rotation carved a deeper Slash into the monster's back.
The monster crawl somehow then runs.
It grabbed the dying girl, ripped her remaining torso in half, and hurled the two pieces at Hyung to block his path.
Then it grabs another soldier.
He repeatedly smashed her face into the crystal floor until her features were gone, leaving only a jagged mask of bone that gurgled a final Thing "Help Me".
As he lifted her mangled head, she was drenched in a thick "shower" of her own blood.
Hyung didn't Flinch.
He landed on its shoulders.
Drove the blade into its eyes—twisting deep.
**CRUNCH.**
He stepped on its head—using the force to rip the sword free.
Then delivered a rocket-boosted kick to its jaw.
The monster's head snapped sideways.
It roared—mouth wide open.
Hyung stood on its stomach—covered in blood.
He cut both legs off at the thighs.
Then the remaining arm.
The monster collapsed—helpless.
Hyung looked around.
Everyone was dead.
Soldiers he had laughed with minutes ago.
The ones who joked about showers, about boys, about life after this.
Kim Ji—broken, crying on the ground.
He remembered their smiles.
Their voices.
Their dreams.
Hyung stood over the monster.
"You want to eat?"
He shoved the sword into its open mouth.
"Eat this, you fucking bastard."
He twisted.
Pulled.
**SHING!**
The head came off.
Clean.
The body stopped moving.
Silence fell.
Only Hyung's ragged breathing.
And Kim Ji's quiet sobs.
