Conrad, Adarte, and Anisa got ready to leave the hotel.
After collecting everything and leaving, they started walking.
Conrad did not look at Adarte and Anisa and just said.
"We are being followed."
Adarte and Anisa did not react to it and just kept on walking.
They were not amateurs that would react to words that they were being followed.
"So."
"What should we do?" asked Anisa.
Finding it surprising that there is already someone following them.
On the other hand, Adarte could not help but think that it may be because of them.
Maybe they gathered too much attention on themselves when they were passing the Matilda Worm.
Conrad thought for a moment and said.
"It must be nothing important."
"For countries like this, a hunter like me coming to their country is enough to put some eyes on them."
"It is a known fact that Matilda Kingdom is at odds with V5, and V5 is known to use the Hunter Association for their purposes."
"Basically, they cannot reject my entry due to political reasons, and they don't want to keep offending V5 and the Hunter Association, but it does not mean they trust or would like hunters in their country."
After Conrad said these words, the trio turned, and then Conrad spoke.
"Wait for it."
"When they turn here, we will stop them and ask who they are and something in line with that."
Adarte asked.
"Would it make sense to have problems with them if they are from the government?"
Conrad smiled.
"We know it; they don't know that we know about it."
"If we let people follow us and accepted it, we would gather more suspicion on ourselves."
"It is better for me as a hunter and you and Anisa, my team members, to notice them and ask them about it."
"It will make it more natural."
Adarte and Anisa gulped and nodded.
Not long after, one woman and one man turned the corner.
Adarte held one of them, and Anisa put her dagger on the woman as she grabbed her by hand.
Two people that tailed Conrad and his crew were not NEN users, just some agents of the country.
They have no power to stop or resist Adarte or Anisa.
"What are you guys doing?!"
"Stop us!" said the both.
Conrad looked at them in the eyes and asked.
"I don't like to be tailed."
"Tell me who you people are, or you guys will be dead in five seconds."
As Conrad's words were heard by two people, they started sweating and their heartbeats increased. It was so loud that it was almost inaudible.
"We—"
"We are—" said both.
While Conrad counted down.
"Five."
"Four."
"Three."
Then, the woman agent said.
"We are from the Matilda Kingdom. We are agents; we were following you because of our orders."
Conrad stopped Adarte and Anisa, like they were going to kill them if he did not, and then asked.
"I should have no problem with your government."
"What is the reason for a tail?"
The man this time spoke.
"We don't know about you and the reason why we are following you."
"We were just ordered to follow; that is all."
Conrad touched his head, and at that time, a black Jeep arrived at the side of the road, and a man and several other men and women with submachine guns arrived.
The man looked at Conrad and his people and then spoke.
"I advise you let go of my people."
Conrad looked at the man with an annoyed face and then asked.
"Who are you?"
The man touched his mustache and smirked.
"I am Nelson Nalix."
"Internal Agency Leader of Felinex City."
"I am the one who ordered them to tail you. As a hunter, we would like to know why you are here."
Conrad looked at Nelson and then spoke.
"Do I have to tell you?"
Nelson did not like how Conrad was talking to him, but he knew that it is not a great idea to try to create an enemy of an unknown hunter, as they are known to be hard to handle.
"I mean, I am the intelligence leader of this country in this city; if you are in my country and in my city, I have every right to know why you are here, and if you do not answer, I may not take you to prison but still have the right to order you to leave the country."
Conrad smiled.
"Please."
"If you had the chance to do that, every hunter who arrived in the country and was given such orders, you guys would not let me through."
"I suppose you are smarter than that."
"I also believe with your level of knowledge, you also know that your people have no chance against my people or me..."
Nelson thought for a moment.
He was not capable of finding any words to say to the man.
It was true that he does not have the right to ask a hunter to leave.
Such an order can only be given by the royal family and people of a similar level.
As a leader of an intelligence agency of one of the border cities, he is also aware that there is supernatural power called "Nen" in the world, and people with guns are not capable of fighting against that.
"Anyway," he said.
"I will stop chasing you and tailing your people."
"Just let my people go and go on your way."
Conrad nodded and smiled.
"That is a better way to talk," he said and then signaled Adarte and Anisa.
Both the man and woman agents hurried back to their people as they were let go.
Conrad then looked at Nelson and said.
"I have no real reason to have any problem with your country."
"Just do not make me have problems."
"I am aware of the fact that I cannot fight against a country."
"But it does not mean that I cannot be a problem for your organizations, businesses, and many other areas outside of this country."
