While Joseph was surprised by a sudden new passive appearing, Inv slowly started pulling his tongue out of Joey's throat and mouth, worrying that he went a little overboard with what just happened due to feeling Joey nonresponsive after the immense feeling of satisfaction of whatever left his tongue. He felt something connect with Joey as well, but he couldn't really understand what happened. So, he only thought of it as a really REALLY good 'kiss'.
"J-Joey… huff… you ok?" Inv said between labored breaths, slightly out of breath from the intense kiss.
"Huff…huff… yeah, i… huff… huff… im good" Joseph responded back being more out of breath then Inv, especially since Inv's tongue stayed in Joey's throat for a bit.
Hearing Joey's response, Inv felt relieved knowing he did nothing wrong. With the worry subsided, Inv laid down, resting his head on the top of Joey's chest.
"What was that Joey? My tongue got very hot and something left it??" Inv asked, confused why such a thing happened.
Joseph, looking down at Inv's curious face resting on his chest let out a small smile.
"Remember when I bit your ear? Didn't you feel something enter your ear during that?" Hearing Joey's question Inv thought back what happened last cycle, when Joey was biting his ear…
"Yeah… yeah I did… is that what just happened?" Inv asked, remembering when he felt something hot enter his ear, also feeling something connect deep inside him he couldn't explain.
"Mhm, felt pretty good, right~?" Joseph said with a smug smile.
Inv felt immediately flustered by Joey's response, his skin flaring a mixture of red and pink.
"Y-yeah… that felt… really good…" Inv said back in extreme embarrassment, admitting that he enjoyed the moment.
Joseph hearing Inv's quiet voice admitting this lets out a small laugh.
"Good, cause I enjoyed it too~" Joseph said as he reached out a paw, slowly petting Inv's head.
Thump*
Thump*
Thump*
Inv, not able to contain his happiness at the moment, smacked his tail against the shelter floor. Wrapping his arms around Joey's small torso, Inv enjoyed the pets he was getting from Joey, wishing this would never end.
Burrrrrr~
Inv let out a happy purr. Putting Joseph even more at ease at the current moment. Feeling the scratch from Inv on his face tingling even more. As if that specific part of the face was going numb.
'Wonder if it will be just like Inv's skin…' Joseph wondered to himself while scratching behind one of Inv's ears.
Burrrrrrrr~
'Eh, who cares. I wanted this' Joseph accepted to himself. Completely committed at this point.
Feeling Inv's complete body weight on top of him which surprisingly didn't hurt him? He could only feel the fluff from Inv, as if one big pillow was laying on top of him. At the same time also petting Inv amongst his purrs.
Needless to say… this was the happiest Joseph felt in a very long time. Even before becoming a slugcat.
Feeling all these good emotions bundle together, Joseph did something that completely caught him off guard.

'Did i just fucking purr??' Joseph thought to himself in complete shock, in his entire time being a slugcat, he had never purred before.
Inv, feeling Joey's small purr vibrate through his body, felt even more joy. Inv responded in kind.

Joseph, feeling Inv come back with an even longer purr, felt even more calm. At this point not caring what he did. Joseph was able to get the same feeling again he just got when he purred.
Purrrrrr~
Between Joseph and Inv, they stayed quietly in silence on the shelter floor. One petting a head and one hugging the other. Never wanting to let go. The only sound being the purrs shared between the two.

After a certain point, Joseph felt his face stop tingling. Assuming that whatever was happening was over. He can just always see what he looks like in the mirror another cycle. Petting Inv's head was top priority at the moment.

Inv, moving his head slightly to look up at Joey, noticed something different about Joey's face. Looking closer…
Gasp*
Inv let out a gasp when he saw what happened to Joey's face!
Hearing Inv's sudden gasp, Joseph was about to ask what was wrong until he felt Inv's head abruptly shoot up towards his face.
"J-Joey! Your face! What happened?!" Inv looked into Joey's eyes.
What used to be a bright pink face with big black dots for eyes… now the area around Joey's right eye was covered in a blue glow… just like his own skin??
"Well, remember what happened to your ear? How it turned to the color of my fur? I'm pretty sure the same thing happened to me where you scratched me" Joseph assumed.
"B-but… your eye Joey…" Inv whimpered out.
"My eye? What's wrong with it?" Joseph asked back, wondering what Inv meant.

"It… it's blue now…" Inv said back in a hushed voice.

"What? It's blue?? What do you mean???" Joseph felt even more confused now. His eye felt like it always did. And his vision wasn't tinted in blue or anything…
"Well… it's blue now. Instead of black…"

Joseph reached his paw up to his right eye, rubbing it. After repeatedly blinking and still seeing no changes happen. Joseph could only shrug.
"Well, I feel fine. My vision is fine too so it's not really a big deal…" Joseph said back in reassurance to Inv.
"Y-your not mad?" Inv asked back, surprised to see Joey ok with this sudden change.
"Of course not, I actually wanted this…" Joseph said as he reached for Inv's head.
Feeling Joey's paw on the back of his head, he let it push his face down right in front of Joey's.
"Now we're even, with what I did to your ear~" Joey said back in a seductive tone.
Inv, remembered that Joey said his ear was turned to the color of Joey's fur. Even though Inv wanted to ask further if it was really ok… Joey seemed completely fine with it? And with his face so close to his again… the question was quickly forgotten.
"So…" Joseph slowly said, the area around his right eye quickly turning pink, along with his eye.

"Want to continue~?"
Inv, feeling his breath quickly heighten, responded back.
"Y-yeah…" Inv said in a shaky breath.
Hearing Inv say this, Joseph let out a big smile.
"Well? What are you waiting for? Kiss me~"
Hearing Joey's words, Inv let loose once more, gently holding the back of his head with one paw, locked lips with Joey once again.
The both of them, in their own world. Kissing each other. Never wanting it to end.

A/N: if your curious why Inv is talking normal English in these chapters, it's because its being told from a third person perspective from both sides. so, when it goes back to Josephs first person pov, Inv's speech will go back to how it's been the whole story.
