Chapter 246 - Chapter 249 Odin Makes His Move

Chapter 249 Odin Makes His Move

Actually, Heimdall was merely frightened. Although the magic circle looked impressive, Finney had already precisely controlled its power.

Based on the previous battle, he understood the Frost Giants' defensive capabilities, so this 'Explosion Magic' wouldn't cause any serious casualties unless something unexpected happened.

However, while he himself knew this, the others watching were unaware.

Seeing Heimdall's failure, and Finney's magic circle shining even brighter, Odin hesitated for a moment before finally rising from his throne.

The light of the Rainbow Bridge teleportation shone again. Just when Finney thought Heimdall was about to try again, he suddenly realized that this time the target wasn't him.

  Someone else had been teleported!

Finney frowned; the person teleported this time surprised him greatly, and he wasn't sure whether he should activate the 'Explosion Magic' he was preparing.

  "Odin!?"

  "He's here too!?"

"That old bastard still doesn't want to let us go. His talk of continuing the peace treaty was just a way to lull us into a false sense of security!"

When the beam of light disappeared, and Odin, wielding Gungnir, appeared in the arena, everyone was astonished.

Despite the Frost Giants' fierce curses, their expressions turned even more grim upon seeing Odin's appearance than upon seeing Phineas's massive magic circle.

Odin was not only the Allfather, but he had also personally led his army to defeat them on their own territory, witnessing firsthand the theft of the Ice Casket.

Phineas hesitated for only a few seconds. As Odin revealed himself, he decided to unleash the magic, but subtly reduced its power.

  "Explosion!"

Odin emerged from the Rainbow Bridge, barely catching his breath before Phineas unleashing a devastating 'Explosion Magic'.

A blinding red light filled the sky—a sight many frost giants had never witnessed in their lives, especially given Jotunheim's perpetually gray climate.

Seeing the massive pillar of fire descending from the heavens, Odin, his face grim, raised his Gungnir. The spearhead flashed, emitting a blinding golden beam of light, and he charged towards the pillar of fire.

Although Odin's attack came later, its speed surpassed Phineas's 'Explosion Magic,' colliding with the pillar of fire before it even hit the ground.

  "Boom!"

The golden energy and crimson flames collided in mid-air, the light so intense that all the frost giants instinctively shielded their eyes. Feeling the ground tremble from the aftershocks of the explosion, a sense of dread filled them.

What would happen if such an attack struck them?!

When they saw Finni unleash his magic, Fabuti and his companions panicked. Just as they were about to block the spell, Odin beat them to it, leaving them stunned and speechless for a long time.

  "What are they doing?"

The three looked at each other in confusion, not understanding what was going on.

Although Finni had deliberately reduced the power, that was relative to the maximum power; the destructive power of the Explosion Magic had never disappointed him.

Because he didn't want to cause too many casualties, he targeted the still-under-construction new palace. The craftsmen had served as soldiers in the previous battles there.

Therefore, that area was practically deserted, and the Explosion Magic, with its sheer power, could easily wipe out most of the Frost Giants from the aftershocks.

However, Finni hadn't expected Odin to stop him.

With the collision of the Explosion Magic and Odin's golden light, the nearly completed new palace was once again reduced to ruins.

Seeing this, Finni frowned deeply, dismounted from the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and stood before Odin.

  "Your Majesty Odin!"

"I've said I don't want to see war again!"

Odin exuded an astonishing aura, a sense of oppression instantly assaulting Phineas, causing his breathing technique to falter slightly.

Fortunately, Phineas had experienced countless battles, big and small. Although Odin was strong, he wasn't that weak now, and he still possessed the Space Stone; even if he couldn't win, he couldn't escape!

Besides, the Ancient One might be nearby and wouldn't let him get hurt.

"This is just an accident, and it won't be war!"

Phineas replied calmly. Although Asgard had helped him a lot, one thing was one thing; he wouldn't become an Asgardian and obey Odin just because of it.

Odin stared intently at Phineas, the atmosphere seemingly tense.

Fortunately, besides the two of them, there were others present. As Phineas and Odin locked eyes, a massive ice spike suddenly erupted from the ground, piercing towards Odin.

Although Odin was in his twilight years, he wasn't completely incapable of fighting. He immediately swung Gungnir, snapping the ice spikes in front of him.

Then he turned to look at the three people staring at him with hatred in the distance.

  "Long time no see, Fabuti!"

The war between Asgard and the Frost Giants had been going on for a long time, so Odin recognized Fabuti.

"You dare to come here again!"

Fabuti said through gritted teeth. Thinking of her husband who had died not long ago, and the current miserable state of the Frost Giants of Jotunheim, she wished she could kill Odin immediately. She was the one who had just fired the ice spikes.

Odin used his aura to intimidate Phineas, but when facing these three, a complex expression appeared on his face.

  "I'm sorry about Laufy!"

Odin said slowly. "The peace treaty will continue. Asgard will not invade Jotunheim. If you need any help, Asgard will provide it!"

  "We don't need your pity!"

Fabuti sneered, saying to Odin, "Stop your hypocritical pretense and get out of Jotunheim!"

Surprisingly, Odin didn't get angry at Fabuti's vicious words. He glanced at her, then turned to Phineas, who was watching the commotion, and said, "Leave with me!"

Hearing Odin's unyielding words, Phineas was stunned. He straightened up, stared at Odin for a few seconds, and suddenly asked, "What if I refuse??"

Phineas knew he shouldn't answer like that, but he just hated Odin's tone, even though he was the Allfather and the ruler of the Nine Realms.

Phineas knew he was no match for Odin, but he wasn't without ways to deal with him.

He could always fight to the death, using the Space Stone to unleash Hela to bite him. After all, the Ancient One was still alive; with her there, Earth wouldn't be in any major trouble.

  "Phineas!"

Just as Phineas was thinking this viciously, the Ancient One's voice suddenly came to her ears. She softly advised, "Let them go. Remember what I told you? Don't be controlled by power!"

There are some things that need to be done today, so this might be the only chapter. If it doesn't happen tonight, then it might be over... Sigh! So frustrating!
