Chapter 238 - Chapter 241 The Magic Wand!

  Chapter 241 The Magic Wand!

For Phineas, vibranium wasn't so precious. After all, Wakanda still had an entire mine yet to be mined, and what he had was barely a drop in the ocean.

  "Then take it for testing!"

Phineas said casually, as if he could do whatever he wanted with it, which only fueled Ittri's growing astonishment.

Dwarves dealt with metals day after day, year after year, and had seen countless metals, but vibranium was a first for him. Judging from his blacksmithing instincts, it was a very good metal, perhaps even comparable to Uru.

If it weren't for the 'possessed by the demon' incident, he would probably be excited by now.

Even so, he was still very curious about vibranium. He immediately called over a few of his men who hadn't attended the party, handed them the vibranium, gave them some instructions, and then looked at Phineas again.

Initially, he hadn't paid much attention to Phineas, only treating him as a guest visiting Nidavellir out of respect for Thor.

But unexpectedly, this human from Midgard shocked him one after another: an armor he had never seen before, a precious metal he had never seen before.

These two items were simply a fatal temptation for the dwarves.

If Phine could also bring out some fine wines they had never seen before, many dwarves would probably treat Phine as more precious than their wives!

The party lasted a long time. Because of the dwarves' enormous size, their alcohol tolerance was also terrifying. If it weren't for the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique,' he probably wouldn't have lasted half of it.

Thor collapsed under the table when the party was two-thirds over, and fortunately the table was big enough to prevent him from being trampled by any dwarf.

After this party, Phine became the most honored guest of the dwarves, and the dwarves treated him with even more respect than Thor.

Because Phine was the first human in centuries to rival the dwarves in drinking prowess.

The next day, Thor returned to Asgard with his equipment, while Phine stayed behind to be researched on 'possessed' and vibranium.

The dwarves' forging industry was indeed advanced; they had completed testing on vibranium in just one day.

"This is the first time I've ever seen this metal!"

Etri excitedly looked at the data and said to Phine, "Besides being hard, it has excellent sound absorption and energy absorption properties, and most importantly, it hardly repels any other metal!"

"It can be used to make almost anything!"

Hearing Etri's words, Phine was slightly surprised and asked, "So, there's nothing it's particularly suitable for making?"

"Its usefulness depends entirely on the forger's skill. I can only tell you that we dwarves are best at making weapons!"

Phine couldn't help but ponder. Regarding weapons, he had always wanted a magic wand, and the dwarves happened to be very skilled at making magical items.

Odin's Gungnir, Thor's hammer Mjolnir, and the Stormbreaker that might appear in the future—all of these were crafted by the dwarves in Nidavellir.

"I'd like to make a magic wand from it, is that alright?"

  Phine asked, looking at Itri.

  "A magic wand!?"

Itri paused, then stood there thinking for a moment before replying, "That's possible, but are you sure you want it made into a magic wand?"

Itri had seen Phine in armor before, and he had assumed Phine would make a spear or greatsword, but he hadn't expected Phine to want a magic wand.

  "Of course, I'm a mage!"

Phine was practically obsessed with his nickname, so he was willing to waste resources to forge a staff befitting his status.

He had also learned some minor illusion spells in the Asgardian library, making it easy to carry.

  "You're a mage?"

Ittry was taken aback again, looking at Phine with surprise. He had assumed Phine, known as the 'White Butcher' on the battlefield, must be a fierce and powerful warrior!

Seeing Ittry's astonished gaze, Phine couldn't help but sigh, demanding, "I don't need this staff to be incredibly powerful, but it must look cool, ideally something that immediately identifies me as a mage!"

"Don't worry, we dwarves always make the best!"

Ittry said proudly, as the universe's top blacksmiths, they had the right to say that.

  "The cost..."

Phine became somewhat uncertain when money was mentioned. He only had the Asgardian gold coins Frigga had given him, and now that vibranium had been used for forging, if he didn't have enough gold, he would have to sell chicken nuggets to earn money.

To Phineas's surprise, Itri waved his hand magnanimously and said, "Dwarves never charge their friends!"

Only then did Phineas realize that dwarven friendship wasn't so cheap after all, and his goodwill towards Itri increased significantly. He said, "Thank you!"

Seeing how friendly the dwarves were, Phineas readily summoned 'Haunted' for them to examine it with various instruments.

The dwarves were efficient with vibranium, but they encountered a bottleneck with 'Haunted'.

Perhaps because it didn't belong to this world, even with their technology, they couldn't figure out how 'Haunted' was forged.

  "It actually has life!"

However, the dwarves weren't entirely without results; they quickly discovered that 'Haunted' was a living suit of armor.

"What metal is inside? And how did it fuse living beings and metal while maintaining its activity? Magic? But we didn't detect any trace of magic. What kind of technology is this?"

The dwarves racked their brains trying to understand 'Haunted'.

Fini, however, felt this was somewhat expected. After all, it was something from the system; he would have been truly shocked if it had been so easily deciphered.

Being stuck on the first step of material analysis had prevented further research.

Fortunately, while they were troubled by the 'possessed by evil spirits' problem, they hadn't forgotten to help Fini create a weapon. A few days later, his magic wand was born.

  "You can name it!"

This weapon was specially designed and manufactured by Itri according to Fini's requirements, so it didn't have a name.

Fini was now excitedly looking at the magic wand in Itri's hand. The wand wasn't very long, only about the length of an arm.

It was a dark silver color, engraved with gold patterns, and topped with a small, roaring blue-eyed white dragon, giving it an understated yet luxurious feel.

Fini fell in love with the wand at first sight. Its strength didn't matter; he didn't actually need the wand to cast 'Explosion Magic' anyway.

But its coolness was more important. With this in his hand, who would dare say he wasn't a mage?!
