The university had four cafeterias in total—Cafeteria 1, 2, 3, and 4—each corresponding to one of four dormitory areas.
Byakuya and Rize were currently in Cafeteria 1.
Cafeteria 1 had three floors, with at least a dozen food stalls on each floor.
Various stalls lined the perimeter, while the center served as the student dining area.
Since the ghoul crisis had been completely resolved, Kamii University had lifted restrictions on outside visitors. Now many visitors came to explore the campus on regular days, and they would eat at the cafeteria too.
So the cafeteria had kept expanding—when two floors weren't enough, they added a third.
At this time right after morning classes, the cafeteria was naturally at its busiest.
Amaha Byakuya and Rize first found an empty seat to claim, then went to order.
"I'll just get the regular quick meal. What do you want?"

"I'd like to try that beef noodle soup."
Amaha Rize pointed at a stall specializing in beef noodles.

"Such a pretty young lady—isn't this handsome boyfriend of yours going to get a bowl too?"
The uncle behind the counter let out a hearty laugh, and even added extra beef slices to Rize's bowl.
"Sorry, I was planning to order something else."
Amaha Byakuya could only politely decline.
"It's fine. I can feed him some of mine later."
Rize smiled.
