The seasons continued to change, almost unnoticed.

The great mansion grew more vibrant with every day that went by, filled with the sound of soft laughter, little feet running through the long hallways, and warm conversations that had slowly become the most precious part of their lives.
Sophia sat in the family room, looking through several old photo albums that the maid had just brought down from the mansion's storage area.
On her lap, their young son was busy flipping through the pages with immense curiosity.
"Mommy, who is this?"
Sophia smiled softly as she saw a photograph of herself from a few years back.
Her expression in the picture was far colder and much more guarded than it was now.
"That was Mommy when she was still young."
The little boy immediately furrowed his brows. "Mommy is still young now too."
Sophia couldn't help but laugh at that innocent reply.
