Chapter 200 - CHAPTER 200

The darkness still enveloped everything.

Yet now it was more than just the absence of light.

It was a pressure that continued to rise.

As if the very space itself was beginning to reject their presence.

Adrian Blackwood stood amidst the clash.

His breathing was steady.

But heavier than before.

His eyes remained sharp.

Locked onto a single point.

Before him, Marcus Sterling did not move.

He simply waited.

As if all the chaos surrounding them was irrelevant.

"Your time is running out," Marcus said softly.

Adrian did not answer.

But he took one step forward.

Short.

Yet filled with meaning.

The attack came.

Fast.

Direct.

Marcus blocked it.

A loud impact echoed.

Resonating through the dark space.

On the other side.

Leonard Graves was starting to run out of room.

The number of enemies did not decrease.

It only grew.

He evaded.

Blocked.

Countered.

But the pressure was becoming increasingly felt.

"We need to get out now," he said through his device.

Above.

Daniel gritted his teeth.

"I'm almost severing the system."

Sophia stared at the screen.

Her eyes unblinking.

"Hurry."

Daniel typed faster.

Layer after layer began to open.

But they were unstable.

"They are fighting back," he said.

Sophia took a deep breath.

"Keep pushing."

Below.

Adrian and Marcus continued to exchange blows.

Neither retreated.

Neither hesitated.

Marcus smiled faintly.

"You are getting tired."

Adrian looked at him coldly.

"Not enough to lose."

He changed his rhythm.

His attacks became faster.

Sharper.

Marcus held his ground.

But for the first time.

He took half a step back.

Leonard saw it.

A smile appeared on his face.

"Good."

But at that exact moment.

The lights around them flickered.

Faster.

More erratically.

Daniel shouted.

"Now!"

Sophia held her breath.

In a single second.

The systems in the area were shaken.

The lights turned back on.

Partially.

But it was enough.

Everything became visible again.

Adrian's team.

Marcus's men.

Their positions.

The distance between them.

And most clearly of all.

Marcus.

Adrian did not waste the moment.

He moved.

Fast.

Direct.

This attack was different.

Deeper.

More dangerous.

Marcus was surprised for an instant.

But quickly adjusted.

A violent collision occurred.

Stronger than ever before.

On the other side.

Leonard used the light to his advantage.

His movements grew more aggressive.

He cleared a path.

Bit by bit.

"We're getting out," he shouted.

Adrian did not answer.

But he pushed Marcus back.

Step by step.

Marcus held on.

But the pressure was starting to take its toll.

Above.

Daniel exhaled.

"System partially down."

Sophia nodded.

"That is enough."

Yet her eyes remained fixed on the screen.

Because she knew.

This was not over.

Below.

Adrian stopped.

Briefly.

His gaze locked on Marcus.

Deep.

Marcus smiled faintly.

"This is not the end."

Adrian replied coldly.

"I know."

Leonard approached.

"We have to go."

Adrian nodded.

He took one step back.

But his eyes never left Marcus.

Marcus did not pursue.

He simply stood.

Watching.

"Get him," he said softly to his men.

But no one moved.

Because they were already pinned down.

Adrian gave a signal.

The team began to retreat.

Orderly.

Fast.

Leonard covered their movement.

Blocking the final attacks.

A few seconds later.

They exited the area.

The outside air felt lighter.

Yet no one relaxed.

Adrian paused for a moment.

Looking back.

Marcus was still standing there.

In the dim light.

Their eyes met once again.

No words were spoken.

But everything was clear.

This was not finished.

Elsewhere.

Sophia finally let out a long breath.

Her body swayed slightly.

But she remained standing.

Daniel looked at her.

"Are you okay."

Sophia nodded slowly.

"For now."

She looked at the screen again.

Data was still moving.

But the patterns were beginning to shift.

"He lost some control," said Daniel.

Sophia shook her head.

"No."

She looked deeper.

"He is merely retreating."

Silence.

Daniel understood.

"To strike again."

Sophia nodded.

Inside the vehicle.

Adrian sat still.

Eyes closed.

But his mind was still working.

Leonard glanced over.

"We almost had him."

Adrian opened his eyes.

His gaze cold.

"Not yet."

Leonard smiled faintly.

"But we are getting closer."

Adrian did not deny it.

Because he knew.

The line had been drawn.

And there was no turning back.

At Marcus's location.

He stood alone.

Watching the screens beginning to recover.

His smile slowly returned.

"They are becoming more interesting."

He stared at the point moving away.

"But also closer."

Silence.

And amidst it all.

One thing became certain.

This battle.

Would not stop.

Until one of them.

Truly fell.

The vehicle continued to move.

Not too fast.

Not too slow.

Just enough to distance themselves without drawing attention.

Yet inside, the atmosphere was never truly calm.

Adrian Blackwood opened his eyes slowly.

His gaze sharp once more.

As if the previous fight was not enough.

Beside him, Leonard Graves rotated his neck slowly.

His muscles were still tense.

But the smile remained.

"He held back," he said.

Adrian did not answer immediately.

He looked out the window.

City lights streaked by rapidly.

"No," he said finally.

"He was testing."

Leonard raised an eyebrow.

"And the result."

Adrian looked forward again.

"We passed."

Silence fell.

But this time.

There was something different.

Heavier.

Deeper.

Elsewhere.

Sophia finally sat down.

Her body felt truly exhausted.

But her eyes remained focused.

Unwilling to miss anything.

Daniel stood beside her.

The screen before them was still active.

Data kept flowing.

"Their movements are slowing down," said Daniel.

Sophia nodded slowly.

"Because they are rearranging."

Daniel turned.

"For the next attack."

Sophia did not answer.

But her eyes spoke volumes.

She zoomed in on one point.

Tracing its path.

"He will move again," she said.

Daniel crossed his arms.

"Deeper."

Sophia took a breath.

"Or closer."

Silence.

Daniel looked at the screen.

For several seconds.

Then he nodded.

"Closer."

Sophia closed her eyes briefly.

Ordering her thoughts.

"Meaning he is ready."

Daniel exhaled.

"And so must we be."

Inside the vehicle.

Adrian spoke again.

"We don't have much time."

Leonard smiled faintly.

"When did we ever."

Adrian did not respond.

But his jaw tightened.

"We cannot wait for him to move again."

Leonard turned.

"You want to force his hand."

Adrian nodded.

"We draw him out completely."

Leonard laughed softly.

"Finally, we agree."

At Marcus's location.

Marcus Sterling sat calmly.

His hands resting lightly on the table.

Eyes fixed on the screen.

The dots were moving.

But now with more direction.

Someone behind him spoke.

"They are retreating."

Marcus shook his head slowly.

"No."

He pointed to one of the points.

"They are preparing."

Silence.

Marcus smiled faintly.

"Good."

He stood up slowly.

His steps calm.

Yet full of purpose.

"Prepare the next phase."

The man behind hesitated.

"Now."

Marcus turned slightly.

His gaze cold.

"Now."

Back to Sophia.

She opened her eyes.

Her expression changed.

Sharper than before.

"There is a major shift," she said.

Daniel immediately focused.

"Where."

Sophia pointed at the screen.

"Here."

Daniel zoomed in.

Data streamed rapidly.

"He is gathering everything," he said.

Sophia nodded.

"He is no longer spreading out."

Silence.

Daniel took a breath.

"This is it."

Sophia stood slowly.

Despite her body feeling heavy.

She remained upright.

"The next encounter."

She stared at the screen.

Her eyes cold.

"Will decide everything."

Inside the vehicle.

Adrian received the data.

His expression unchanged.

But his aura grew deeper.

"We head to this point," he said.

Leonard looked.

His smile slowly widened.

"A good place for an ending."

Adrian did not answer.

But one thing was clear.

This was no longer a small game.

This was no longer just about revenge.

This was the final battle.

That would determine who would stand.

And who would fall.

And this time.

No one would back down.
