Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: The Awakening of the Void God

The explosion on the lunar surface was so violent that the resulting radiance blinded those watching from Earth, a momentary second sun burning in the night sky. At the jagged terminus of a trench spanning hundreds of miles lay Dahak. His body, once hailed as an "Indestructible Fortress," was finally fracturing. The hairline cracks carved by Akuma's relentless fists were no longer just wounds; they were leaking a malevolent, pulsating violet fire.

"Hahaha... Akuma... you actually made me feel it. Pain," Dahak's psychic voice sliced into Akuma's mind like a jagged blade. "But you have made a catastrophic error. By shattering my 'Reality-Binding' skin, you haven't defeated me. You have merely unchained the primordial darkness I was built to contain."

Dahak rose with a terrifying, jerky grace. The energy hemorrhaging from his fissures was so unstable that the Moon's gravity began to warp and fracture. Massive lunar boulders rose into the void, disintegrating into fine silver dust without a touch. Dahak raised a trembling hand, and the very soil of the Moon surged upward, coalescing into a colossal Void Spear—a weapon forged from the absence of light itself.

The Beasts' Counter-Attack

Akuma's lungs burned, his breath coming in ragged gasps. The Lunar Flare had drained eighty percent of his essence, yet his eyes remained twin pools of unwavering defiance. He could feel the four Beasts within him—the Dragon, the Tiger, the Phoenix, and the Tortoise—shuddering in his soul. They recognized the energy emanating from Dahak; it was a power capable of erasing their very concepts from existence.

"I don't need your fear! I need your absolute hatred!" Akuma roared inwardly, challenging the ancient entities bound to his spirit.

In a heartbeat, Akuma's aura shifted from flickering gold to a deep, predatory crimson. The titanic silhouettes of the four Beasts loomed behind him like celestial shadows. Akuma launched himself across the lunar plains, a streak of carnage moving at Mach 25.

CLANG!

When Dahak's Void Spear collided with Akuma's crimson-clad fist, a shockwave tore a new crater into the Moon's crust. Their speed was incomprehensible; to the observatories on Earth, they were merely two streaks of lethal light weaving a web of destruction across the lunar surface.

Dahak's spear tore through Akuma's shoulder, spraying crystalline droplets of blood into the vacuum. Akuma ignored the agony, countering with a 'Tiger Claw' strike that ripped five jagged furrows across Dahak's chest. No blood leaked from the wound—only the cold, hollow hum of Null Energy.

Below the Sky: Nova's Desperation

On Earth, at the jagged borders of Yukanda, the duel between Nova and Draven had reached its fever pitch. Nova looked toward the heavens, her heart sinking as the lunar explosions continued unabated. Her "Heavenly Shield," once a symbol of absolute protection, was spider-webbing under the relentless weight of Draven's "Black Swords."

"Your brother has awakened a localized apocalypse, Draven!" Nova screamed, sweat stinging her eyes. "If Dahak fully transitions into the Void, he won't stop at Akuma. He will consume the entire solar system!"

Daven remained a silent monolith of shadow. He clenched his fist, activating the ancient Shadow Art: Eternal Eclipse. Darkness rushed in from the horizon, swallowing the light. Nova, once a radiant goddess of the battlefield, now looked like a golden bird trapped in a cage of infinite night.

Nearby, sheltered behind an obsidian wall crafted by Draven, Rubi sat in fervent prayer. Her sapphire energy radiated outward, providing a cooling balm to the wounded citizens of Yukanda, but her spirit was a quarter-million miles away. "Come back... please," she whispered, her voice a fragile thread in the wind.

The Lunar Cataclysm: No Winner in Sight

Back on the Moon, the battle had devolved into a primal struggle. Akuma and Dahak were locked in a death grip, tumbling through the lunar dust. Dahak slammed a knee into Akuma's solar plexus, forcing blood from his lungs to freeze instantly into red crystals. Akuma snarled, driving his fingers into Dahak's eye socket with savage intent.

This was no longer a clash of deities. It was two starving predators trying to tear the throat out of the world.

"I... will not... break!" Akuma bellowed, grappling Dahak and slamming him into a lunar mountain range. The peaks crumbled like dry sand under the force of their impact.

Dahak kicked Akuma away, ascending into the black sky. "The Final Paradox: Void Devourer!" Dahak shrieked. Between his palms, a singularity began to form—a miniature black hole that started drinking the lunar surface itself.

Akuma realized the stakes instantly: if that sphere detonated, the Moon would be split asunder. He ignited his remaining life force, channeling every drop into the Phoenix. His body became a miniature star, blinding and pure.

"Phoenix Rebirth: Final Execution!"

Akuma transformed into a living missile, slamming directly into the heart of the singularity.

SILENCE.

In the vacuum of space, there is no sound, but the "Reality Wave" triggered by the collision was deafening to the soul. It fried every satellite in Earth's orbit instantly. A flash of monochrome light—pure white and deepest black—washed over the Moon, making it appear for one terrifying second as if day had broken in the middle of the night.

When the dust finally settled...

Dahak and Akuma lay miles apart, broken and spent. Akuma's left arm was a charred ruin, and the auras of his Beasts had flickered out. Half of Dahak's face had been erased, the unstable violet energy within him cooling into a dull, throbbing ache.

Both struggled to rise, their bodies refusing the command of their wills. Dahak looked toward Akuma, black ichor leaking from his remaining eye. Akuma stared back, his gaze still anchored by that same ancient, unbreakable stubbornness.

There was no winner. They had dragged each other to the very edge of the abyss.

Then, in the eerie stillness of the vacuum, a third presence made itself known. A portal of shimmering, golden light tore open the fabric of space. Dahak looked at the rift and spat out a mouthful of void-matter. "They're here..."

Through his blurred vision, Akuma saw a gargantuan shadow descending toward the lunar surface. Was this a new cataclysm? Or the arrival of an old nightmare?
