Chapter 42 - Chapter 42 ( Profess - level monsters )

After following Nawa for a while, Ploy asked to separate and return to their lodging, as she had many things to do in preparation for tomorrow's journey. Nawa, however, continued exploring the city, even after sunset, showing no intention of stopping.

Nawa meticulously explored every nook and cranny of the city, from the underground waterways and cemeteries to the wasteland, collecting details for her system map.

Although this took up a full day, it was worthwhile. Apart from the lord's office, every detail of the city of Matthehorn was already in Nawa's map system. Buying it from the system would cost more than 10 silver coins.

Having explored to her satisfaction, Nawa returned to the hotel to rest, without contacting any player laborers to help with her work. As the appointed time approached, Nawa left the hotel and headed towards the meeting place.

From a distance, Nawa saw Ploy and her friends waiting near the city gate. Beside them were several large bags stacked high above their heads. Nawa could easily guess they contained essential tools and equipment for the support team, such as a field camp, drinking water, and tools for gathering various resources.

Even a Rank D player, with physical strength many times greater than average, would need at least three people to carry all these items over a long distance. And if they considered the loot they would obtain from hunting, at least twice as many people would be needed.

But right now, what Ploy and her friends saw was Nava walking alone, without any sign of the other worker players.

"What does this mean?" Nathee asked in a harsh tone, thinking he was being played a trick on him.

Although displeased at being deceived, Nathee was also pleased because this would show Ploy that she had misjudged him. The man she admired and respected wasn't as good a person as she thought.

Nawa frowned slightly in confusion before raising both arms and letting out a long sigh, like someone who had just woken up.

"…Yawn… Is something wrong? If you're going to scold me for being late, I apologize. I didn't get much sleep last night."

"Hmph… You still have the nerve to say that? You made us prepare the supplies all night, but you couldn't even find a single worker player!"

"Are you trying to play a joke on us?"

Somchai yelled at Nawa in a furious tone. Although Ploy wanted to argue on his behalf, she was powerless to offer any excuses. In her eyes, Nawa was truly in the wrong.

Nawa didn't offer any excuses. He didn't even seem to listen to Somchai. He simply walked over to the large pile of luggage, extended one hand, and almost instantly, dozens of bags and numerous other items vanished into thin air.

"Now we can set off," Nawa said before walking away, ignoring the others who remained stunned and speechless.

"Nawa… what is this?"

Natee exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief. Storing that many items in his dimensional storage required at least level 3 storage, increasing his capacity tenfold. Even high-ranking players rarely upgraded their dimensional storage to this level. Because it would cost more than 50 million baht.

And Nawa, who's just a low-ranked new player who's only been in The Oneness for less than a month, how could he possibly have the money to expand his dimensional storage to this level? Even Natee and his friends, who come from wealthy families, only expanded their dimensional storage to level 2.

"See? I told you Nawa is trustworthy," Ploy said with a cheerful smile before being the first to follow Nawa. After a while, everyone regained their composure and followed Nawa as well.

Even though Natee and his friends tried to ask Nawa about the size of his dimensional storage, which was ten times larger than average, they didn't know that in reality, Nawa's dimensional storage was hundreds or thousands of times larger than that of ordinary players. Moreover, it seemed to be constantly increasing as Nawa's strength grew.

Nawa answered truthfully that he didn't know. As for the cause of his enormous dimensional storage, whether it was due to White Snake's demonic soul or his brain functioning at 100%, Nawa didn't mention it.

Besides being mere speculation, he didn't see the need to talk about it. Moreover, the more people who know about these things, the more danger it could bring to oneself.

"Nawa, is it possible that it's because of the 'Talented One' title you received during the player test that you have such a huge dimensional storage space?" Ploy asked. Nawa didn't show any reaction, neither confirming nor denying it.

"I understand. Player effects are kept secret. But this is enough to silence my friends about your title," Ploy said with a bright smile, looking at her friends with a mocking gaze.

Now, Ploy's friends began to think that Nawa's 'Talented One' title might not be a lie, because it was the only reason they could use to explain Nawa's unusually large dimensional storage space.

The journey to Taiban Village was much further than Nawa had anticipated. With the speed and endurance of players far superior to ordinary people, they could cover more than 100 kilometers in less than half a day. That distance, on Earth, would be equivalent to traveling across provinces.

Even so, at this speed, it would still take more than three days to travel to their desired hunting location. Along the way, Nawa overheard Natee's group talking. Although he wasn't intentionally listening, his 100% brainpower and excellent hearing allowed him to automatically grasp the gist and piece together the story.

What Nawa learned from their conversation was that Natee dreamed of establishing his own guild. And not just that, he aimed to build a guild as great as one of the three biggest guilds in the country right now. Even though Natee came from a wealthy and powerful family, achieving that dream wouldn't be easy.

Creating an ordinary guild wouldn't be too difficult, but to rival the three giant guilds, Natee needed to reach the rank of A-rank player, a feat there were only 10 in the entire country.

To reach that level, money alone wasn't enough. As stats increased, further development required consuming higher-level monster meat. Not to mention Warlord-level monster meat; even Elder-level monster meat was extremely rare. There are only a few types of monsters available on the market right now.

If Natee hopes to reach the rank of A-rank player, he needs to hunt new, high-level monsters himself, which is extremely difficult and dangerous. This is why Natee gathered the most skilled players in his year to form the Four Heavenly Kings team, and he has done exceptionally well with them.

Although the Four Heavenly Kings are still students, their strength and necessary monster-hunting skills are comparable to those of typical guild raid teams. In the future, each of them has the potential to easily develop into top-ranked high-rank players in the country.

Unfortunately, the path they are taking is relatively safe because it was purchased with a large sum of money from the system, so Nawa hasn't had the chance to see them showcase their skills yet.

As the sun was setting, Natee and his friends chose a hill as their campsite. It was a fairly wide and high hill, offering a panoramic view.

Nawa took out the field camp from his dimensional inventory to set it up, with Natee and his friends providing cover nearby.

"Brother Nawa, do you need my help?" Ploy said as she approached Nawa.

"Hey, Ploy, you shouldn't do that. That guy got over half a million."

"It should be working for the money!" Somchai yelled.

Earlier, Natee had told Nawa to find a support team of ten people, and he was willing to pay double, more than five silver coins per person. Since Nawa could do the work in place of those people, Natee would give Nawa the wages for all ten people alone. Of course, Nawa didn't refuse.

"Are you blind? There are so many tents! How can he do it all alone?" Ploy turned to yell at Somchai, and was about to launch into a long tirade, but Nawa spoke first.

"Ploy, your friend is right. This is the support team's job. A healer like you shouldn't interfere. What will you do if monsters attack during this?"

Ploy wanted to argue, but remembering the promise she made to obey Nawa's instructions during the hunt, she didn't say anything more. She just walked away with a sullen expression, which surprised her friends. It was well known that Ploy wasn't someone who easily listened to others.

This displeased Natee, and although he tried to hide his feelings, his close friend Somchai knew.

"Hey... we're going to sleep in this camp tonight, and you've only managed to hammer in the stakes so far. What time are we going to get to sleep?"

Somchai taunted Nawa, hoping to cheer his friend up.

Nawa paid no attention to Somchai's words or actions, as if Somchai was too worthless for him to waste his time on. Once the stakes were hammered in, Nawa stepped back and raised both hands.

Suddenly, the metal frame and canvas began to move as if alive. Each piece started to assemble perfectly, and soon, the clean, white camp was fully set up.

"You can use telekinesis too?" Ploy exclaimed in surprise.

The others, though silent, were equally shocked by what had happened, as telekinesis was rare. Players with such psychic abilities were a rare sight. Most people can only pick up one or two objects far away. Few can learn and train telekinesis to the point where they can do what Nawa does.

The reason for this is that telekinesis is quite useless in combat. Almost all current combat skills don't utilize telekinesis in their training. Therefore, those with a foundation in telekinesis often abandon it and train in other psychic abilities instead.

"Hahaha! I believe you truly deserve the title of 'talented'. But you're using your talent for something pointless. What were you thinking, training such a useless psychic power? Hahaha!" Somchai laughed loudly.

Nawa didn't pay any attention to Somchai's demeanor. No, even if the whole world devalued or looked down on his telekinesis, he wouldn't care. Because he knew and understood his power better than anyone else.

Telekinesis combined with an understanding of space-time fields… It would unleash incredibly powerful and miraculous skills beyond anyone's imagination. To be honest, even Nawa himself was afraid of his own power.

"The loser of the duel still has the nerve to laugh at him? How shameless!"

Ploy said. She couldn't stand to see Nawa being humiliated like this. Hearing that, Somchai gritted his teeth, ready to explode in anger, but a voice rang out.

"Enough! This isn't the time to argue. Look at that!" Nathee shouted in a serious tone, his gaze fixed on the distant edge of the forest.

What everyone saw was a large horde of monsters, hundreds of them, charging towards them.

"Everyone be careful! That's a horde of Red-Furred Venubi, Pro-level monsters!"

Mai shouted anxiously. Besides Nawa, Mai recognized the horde as Red-Furred Venubi because she trained as an Assassin, giving her the highest accuracy stat in the group.

They were the same monsters Nawa had seen above the waterfall. They resembled the Venubi on Earth, but they had fiery red fur and were twice the size. Furthermore, their horns were made of a copper-like metal instead of bone.

Even though Red-Furred Venubi were Pro-level monsters, they were only… At the beginner level, with Natee and his friends' skill and premium artifacts, handling 5-10 of them wouldn't be difficult.

But right now, there were over a hundred red-furred Venubi, panicked and ready to crush everything in their path. Even high-ranked players might not be able to handle them.

The best option was to escape, but Natee and his friends didn't do that.

"Form Formation A!"

Natee shouted quickly, and almost immediately, Somchai raised his large shield. May and Natee flanked them, with Ploy, acting as a healer, behind them. This surprised Nava. Given their strength and equipment, escaping would have been easy.

"These kids think they can protect us, huh?" Nawa thought to himself, a small smile appearing on his face.

At this moment, Nava felt that Ploy and his friends were much better people than he had thought. Even though there were no laws or system punishments, prioritizing the safety of the support team was a code of ethics that players upheld.

Although Natee and his friends' eyes were still full of fighting spirit, deep down they couldn't hide their anxiety. Their chances of success were less than half, and even if they were lucky, it would be difficult to avoid injury. If they were unlucky, they might even lose their lives.

But if they didn't act, Nawa, who was behind them, wouldn't survive. This is what Natee and his friends thought. But in reality, the person they intended to protect was now standing right in front of them.

"What the hell is he doing?" Somchai shouted loudly when Nava suddenly stood between them and the horde of monsters.

"Brother Nawa…"

Ploy exclaimed in a trembling voice, tears welling up in her eyes. She thought Nava was willing to die. Without a support team, they had nothing to protect and could escape from here.

"Protecting the support team is our duty. Therefore, you don't need to do anything like this," Natee said in a stern voice, but also with a hint of respect.

"Hmph, it would only be your duty when…"

"The support team is in danger, isn't it?" Having said that, Nava extended his hand.

"Foom!"

Suddenly, a wall of fire over ten feet high appeared, separating them from the swarm of red-furred Venubi. Although the red-furred Venubi were startled, they still retained their instincts. Faced with the scorching flames, none of them thought of charging through. The swarm split into two, running around the wall of fire.
