"Thor?"
At the mention of this topic, both Clint and Banner wore expressions of shared sentiment.
"His father seems to be nearing the end of his life. As the sole heir, Thor has been kept in Asgard recently, presumably preparing for succession or something similar."
"Thor's father? Odin, the Allfather?"
Luca, who had only casually changed the subject, was now completely dumbfounded.
However, Dr. Banner seemed to misunderstand. Seeing Luca's expression, the sentiment on his face deepened.
"Surprising, isn't it? Even the legendary King of Norse Gods has a lifespan that comes to an end."
"But I heard from Thor before that the average lifespan of an Asgardian is around 5,000 years. His father's age has long exceeded that number. I suppose he's not entirely unprepared..."
Banner continued to express his thoughts, with Clint occasionally chiming in.
But Luca heard nothing of what followed. Only one thought echoed in his mind.
Odin is dying? Does that mean Hela is about to break free?!
Although Luca and Thor were on good terms, he had never met Odin, so he naturally felt no grief over the Allfather's impending departure.
But Luca also hadn't forgotten that in the movie, it was Odin's death that unleashed Hela, the Goddess of Death, the villain who nearly wiped out all of Asgard.
The scene where Hela shattered Mjolnir with one hand remained fresh in his memory.
Wait, no. In the movie, Odin admitted that Hela's seal was maintained by his own life force.
But was Hela sealed within Odin? Or was she sealed in Norway on Earth?
Luca could only vaguely recall that Odin seemed to have been 'exiled' to Earth by Loki.
After dying of old age on Earth, Hela appeared immediately.
That's not right either. Hela seemed to be able to draw energy from Asgard to strengthen herself. Even if she was truly sealed within his body, Odin wouldn't choose to die in Asgard!
Various thoughts flashed through his mind, but Luca couldn't sort them out for a moment.
He couldn't even determine how soon "nearing the end of his life" meant.
After all, Asgardians were a long-lived species, and their concept of time might be different from Earthlings.
Luca couldn't exactly go up to Thor and ask, "So, which day exactly is your dad dying?"
Troublesome... disasters one after another!
But amidst his clueless thoughts, Tony walked over with a glass of wine, seemingly ready to join the conversation.
However, seeing Luca's distracted look, Tony, who had approached 'stealthily,' gave him a slap on the back.
"Hey, what are you thinking about, kid?"
Luca, who staggered from Tony's slap, snapped back to reality.
However, instead of minding Tony's sudden attack, he rubbed his shoulder and looked at the newly arrived 'Tony Stark' with a strange expression.
"You? Pepper still hasn't... Mmph mph."
Before Luca could finish, Tony swiftly covered his mouth.
Feeling the 'hard' metallic touch on his lips, Luca was even more certain that this 'thing' capable of staggering a Zoan Devil Fruit user with a slap was definitely not a normal human body.
Good lord, Pepper is addicted to this? She still hasn't given Tony the antidote?
But Tony's tech seems to have improved? This doesn't look like a projection armor. Aside from the touch, I can't tell the difference from a real person at all.
While thinking this, Luca hurriedly patted Tony's arm, signaling that he wouldn't spill the beans.
Finally, Tony—whether remotely controlling a robot or wearing a custom suit—chose to let go under the weird gazes of Banner and Clint.
"You guys are...?"
"Nothing!" x2
Luca and Tony spoke in unison.
Tony simply didn't want to expose his current state.
And Luca, with a pair of iron hands pressing on his shoulders, naturally wouldn't look for trouble.
Seeing this, the other two shrugged speechlessly and didn't press further.
Instead, Tony behind Luca suddenly leaned down and whispered in his ear.
"Do you have any more of that medicine? With so many people today, I can help you pull a big one..."
Hearing this, Luca shook his head hurriedly, rolled his eyes at Tony, and whispered back.
"Why would I carry so many shrinking pills for no reason? Besides, even if I had them, I wouldn't bring them out!"
Hearing this, a look of disappointment actually appeared on the face of Tony's 'metal body.'
Although his proposal was a bit mischievous, born of a desire to drag others down with him...
If he could really trick Luca into shrinking everyone...
Then the kid couldn't possibly keep hiding the antidote, right?
In that case, he could bypass Pepper and return to normal along with everyone else, no longer having to endure this squishy little body.
However, since the plan failed, Tony decided not to heighten Luca's vigilance and turned to Dr. Banner to talk about something else.
"Banner, how have you been? Want to come over to my place for a few days? I want to show you something you haven't seen before."
As soon as these words came out, the other three men fell into a weird silence.
Banner, who was named, had dilated pupils and a gaping mouth, his face full of fear and confusion.
"Uh! Wait! I meant, I meant a new experiment project!"
"Ah, right! That's what we understood too!"
"Right, right, research project!"
"Right, right, right, who said otherwise?!"
The scene was chaotic with awkward laughter, taking a long while to calm down.
Then, another silence...
Finally, Dr. Banner, while subconsciously scooting away, asked with lingering fear.
"Why not Luca? And haven't you been researching how to help little Gwen return to her world recently? Is this another..."
"Luca?" Tony glanced at Luca, who also had questions in his eyes. "This kid is busier than me right now. I'll tell him when there are actual results!"
"As for the thing I mentioned, it was actually inspired by opening the cross-dimensional portal for Spider-Sister. I've achieved some results myself."
"If perfected later, it might solve the current situation of otherworldly invasions everywhere..."
Tony roughly explained his ideas and thoughts, and Luca and Dr. Banner continued chatting on this topic.
Although Clint didn't understand much, he listened with a curious face.
Other guests gathered in groups of twos and threes to chat. Although not overly lively, the overall atmosphere was passable.
Harry was arm-wrestling Captain America by cheating with Venom, and Rhodes was telling his 'Boom, tank, General' joke to others.
The entire banquet soon came to an end in this atmosphere.
