And now, Seisui enjoyed the same privilege.
He'd always had plenty of chakra, but his jutsu repertoire was vast — and he had to reserve a lot for summoning his explosive clay creatures.
But now, Seisui could only say one thing: aside from tailed beasts themselves, who could possibly have more chakra than him?
Still, his ego didn't last long. His eyes fell on Uzumaki Mito, lying peacefully on another bed.
Everyone around her wore expressions of sorrow — even that old vulture Danzo looked mournful.
To him, Mito was like a gentle elder. Her passing clearly pained him.
Just from the grief on their faces, Seisui immediately understood.
When a new jinchuriki was chosen… the previous one died.
And now—
Seisui's fists clenched tight, his expression darkening.
Mito had been so kind to him.
Aside from the parents he lost in his previous life's car accident, Mito was the person who'd treated him best.
And now…
Seeing Seisui's grief, Sarutobi Hiruzen took a deep breath and stepped forward, resting a hand on his shoulder.
"Mito-sama has passed on. It's up to you now to shoulder the mission she once carried."
Then Hiruzen turned to the others. "You all may leave first."
Apart from Tsunade and Nawaki, everyone quietly exited the room.
Kushina's eyes were swollen from crying.
"Life… is fragile and fleeting," Seisui said softly. "But its meaning lies in the experiences between birth and death."
"Mito has simply reached the end of her journey."
"Kushina," he turned to her, voice steady, "you must look forward."
"People die three times. The first is when the body perishes. The second is when society forgets you. And the third is when your spirit fades from memory."
Seisui walked ahead, Kushina and Uchiha Haru following behind.
In front of him, Danzo walked with small, quiet steps — but his ears were perked, listening closely.
"The first death," Seisui continued, "is physical — like Mito-sama's body now. But she still lives on in our hearts."
"The second death, which I call spiritual death, comes when those who remember her are gone."
"But the third death… transcends the boundary between life and death itself. It is the power of inheritance."
"The will of a person is passed down, carried on by those who come after."
He turned back to face Kushina and Haru, his voice firm and clear.
"Mito-sama's will hasn't perished. Even if we all die someday, her spirit will ride the winds of Konoha — blooming like flowers across the world."
"That is will. The third life."
"The body's gone, but she hasn't truly died."
"Mito-sama lives within each of us, and she will wait for us to spread it onward!"
"Kushina — inherit her will, and move forward!"
Kushina listened, lost in thought for a long moment. Then she lifted her head, eyes resolute.
"I'll definitely carry on Grandma Mito's will! Flowers will bloom in every corner of the world!"
Seisui smiled. "And I'll make sure those flowers fill the world — with true peace."
Up ahead, Danzo halted mid-step, murmuring to himself, "Threefold life… Seisui, is that what you've been protecting all along?"
His hand tightened into a fist.
"So… I'm one of those flowers too?"
"The flower of the Will of Fire… I shall bear it myself!"
He quickened his pace, leaving in solemn conviction.
Seisui, who had sharp senses, overheard everything — and nearly burst out laughing.
You? A flower?
You're darkness itself! Flowers wilt without light, old man.
You're no blossom — you're the shadow it hides in.
Up on the second floor, Tsunade and Hiruzen had been watching silently.
Hearing the speech, Tsunade looked at Seisui, her expression serious. "Having someone like him… is Konoha's blessing."
"Yes," Hiruzen nodded deeply, eyes warm. "With Seisui here, the village's future for the next few decades… is secure."
The longer he looked, the more satisfied he felt.
Young, immensely talented, strong, wise, and kind — Seisui was the very image of the Will of Fire.
==========
Three days later.
A fine drizzle blanketed Konoha. The faint rhythm of the shamisen mixed with the sound of rain, lending the day a mournful air.
Today was Uzumaki Mito's funeral.
Since the announcement of her death, the entire village had been shrouded in quiet sorrow.
"One bouquet, please," Seisui said as he entered a flower shop, glancing at the rows of colorful blooms. He didn't know which to choose.
"You're also attending Mito-sama's funeral?" the shopkeeper asked.
Seisui nodded silently.
"White tulips," the owner said gently, handing him a bouquet. "They represent love and blessings."
When Seisui reached for his wallet, the owner pointed to a sign nearby that read: Free for Mito-sama's service.
Seisui paused, then gave a polite nod. "Thank you."
He stepped back out into the rain, tulips in hand, and made his way toward the Hero's Monument — where the ceremony was held.
Laying the flowers down, he stood at the very front.
Beside him were Minato, Kushina, and Nagato, along with many elders guiding the younger generation.
They all wore matching black funeral garb, each with a headband marked by the Senju clan crest.
They were the remnants of the disbanded Senju clan — those who'd quietly hidden their lineage for the village's sake.
Even Tsunade and Nawaki no longer went by "Senju."
But today, no one would criticize.
Even Hiruzen and Danzo merely watched in silence.
After all, the Senju had sacrificed more than anyone for Konoha — giving up their name to allow others to thrive.
Just this once, they were allowed to honor their kin openly.
The rain fell steadily throughout the morning. By the time the funeral ended, everyone was drenched.
As Mito's coffin was lowered into the earth, people quietly began to disperse.
Those wearing the Senju emblem nodded silently to Seisui before leaving, though none of them spoke.
They didn't know he was the new Nine-Tails jinchuriki.
To them, he was simply Mito's chosen successor.
When the last mourners had gone, the clouds parted. Sunlight broke through, and a rainbow arched gently across the sky.
Seisui looked up, murmuring, "With the passing of one generation… the next begins its journey."
"Yes, indeed, Seisui-kun," said Orochimaru as he approached, clad in a simple mourning robe. "Every death gives birth to new life."
"Perhaps the heavens themselves are welcoming Mito-sama," he added, gesturing toward the rainbow.
"Maybe that's the gate to the Pure Land."
With that, Orochimaru turned to leave, offering the same quiet words as before:
"If you ever need assistance, you'll find me beneath the Hokage Rock. I'll help however I can, Seisui-kun."
Watching his retreating back, Seisui smiled faintly.
Then I'll show you, Orochimaru… how the new wind will shape the world.
==========
Back home, Seisui sat at his desk, eyes fixed on the glowing summoning interface before him.
Another ten-pull.
This time, he'd pray to no one!
With a thought, the wheel spun.
[Uchiha Sasuke (Eternal Mangekyo) Fragment ×1]
[Uzumaki Naruto (Sage Mode) Fragment ×1]
[Kurenai Fragment ×1]
[Uzumaki Naruto (Fourth Tail) ×1]
[Konan Fragment ×1]
[Prismatic Stone ×5]
Staring at the screen, Seisui froze.
He'd actually drawn the "prince" himself!
Then the interface shimmered, showing partial progress bars for his near-complete templates:
Uchiha Sasuke (Eternal Mangekyo): 54/100
Uchiha Itachi (Mangekyo Sharingan): 36/40
Prismatic Stones: 5
Owned Templates:
Uzumaki Naruto (Academy Student),
Moonlight Hayate,
Senju Tobirama,
Uchiha Itachi,
Uchiha Obito (Sharingan),
Uchiha Sasuke (Sharingan),
Uzumaki Naruto (Fourth Tail).
Template: Uzumaki Naruto (Fourth Tail)
Skills: Chakra Cannon, Claw of the Nine-Tails, Tailed Beast Bomb.
A jinchuriki consumed by the power of the Nine-Tails — berserk at the fourth tail! Roar!
Chakra Cannon: Condense chakra in the mouth and fire consecutive blasts.
Claw of the Nine-Tails: Form massive chakra claws to strike from afar.
Tailed Beast Bomb: Gather chakra to launch a devastating orb of destruction.
When Seisui finished reading, the Fourth-Tail Naruto template dissolved into light and merged with his body.
Immediately, his chakra surged again — so much that he had to pause to process it.
He wasn't lacking chakra by any means…
But now?
He'd gone from overflowing to absurd.
The template's greatest gift wasn't more chakra — it was those three techniques.
Chakra Cannon. Tailed Beast Bomb.
Perfect tools.
As for that ridiculous "Nine-Tails Claw"… it could stay far, far away.
His attention shifted to the summoning screen again.
The previous draws hadn't shown skill descriptions — but this one did.
So it updates as I grow, huh?
He stroked his chin thoughtfully. It made sense — after his first mission, the system had added a shop feature.
An update now wasn't that strange.
"Exchange for one Uchiha Itachi (Mangekyo Sharingan) fragment."
[Uchiha Itachi (Mangekyo Sharingan): 37/40]
Just three more pieces left — and he'd unlock the Mangekyo template.
Excitement surged through him.
Meanwhile, inside his seal space, Kurama hung suspended by the chains, lazily cursing Shukaku for fun — when he suddenly noticed a familiar chakra drifting down from above.
"Huh?"
"That's… my chakra?"
Kurama's eyes widened in shock — then delight.
