"Newborn God, bring your handmaiden and follow me. This is not where I entertain guests."
The Collector glanced at Jean and, based on his perception, immediately took her for Kytheron's handmaiden.
Although he could sense the powerful energy within Jean, he had seen too many such beings!
With Kytheron clearly in charge, he naturally classified Jean as a subordinate, and the status of subordinates had never been something he paid attention to.
"Tivan, Jean is not a handmaiden, but my student, someone destined to cross the threshold of a Cosmic God in the future."
Upon hearing Kytheron's words, The Collector looked at Jean with some surprise.
Being able to cross that threshold to become a God already qualified one to be his equal, even if it was just a qualification for now. But with Kytheron as her teacher, the significance of the two was different!
"Regardless, come with me now!"
"Katana, our esteemed guests are visiting the Land of Nihility for the first time. Please introduce them to the place."
The Collector instructed the handmaiden following him as he walked.
The handmaiden was an alien with red skin and twin ponytails.
Although one could feel that she was a living being, her facial expressions and body movements made her seem like a programmed robot.
"Teacher, this handmaiden looks so strange, very awkward."
At this moment, Jean's voice resonated in Kytheron's mind via mental transmission.
"She is one of Tivan's collectibles. Her body has undergone partial mechanical modification, which extended her life. Perhaps it was also for The Collector to preserve his collectibles for a longer time!"
Kytheron casually scanned the handmaiden's body structure and immediately knew the result; at least thirty percent of the handmaiden named Katana had been transformed into machinery.
"Treating a living being as a collectible? And using this method to ensure it can be collected for longer?"
Jean found this somewhat unacceptable at the moment, after all, as a kind child raised in a civilized society.
"Jean, this is not a big deal. The laws of survival in the Universe are more brutal than on Earth."
"Power, authority, wealth—all of these represent absolute dominance, especially in this place, an extrajudicial zone beyond the jurisdiction of the three great Universe empires. Tivan's word is the rule here."
Kytheron, on the other hand, had no feelings about this.
After all, in the Marvel Universe, ordinary life is truly as insignificant as dust to those true powerhouses.
Perhaps just the aftermath of a single battle could lead to the destruction of a Universe.
Hearing this, Jean fell silent, her beliefs seemingly having taken a hit.
However, this was all something she had to experience. Without the Phoenix Force to induce her to turn dark, her personality always lacked something.
Witnessing the darkness of the Universe would be beneficial for her future growth.
However, no one noticed that the handmaiden named Katana's eyes subtly shifted after seeing The Collector speak so politely to Kytheron, and she began to scheme something in her heart.
She actually had a younger sister named Carina. The two sisters were the only two survivors after the destruction of a Planet, then captured by space mercenaries as rare treasures and sold to The Collector.
She knew that her own fate in this life might be to be killed one day by her capricious Master!
Her only concern was her younger sister Carina. The child was still young and should not suffer the same fate as her.
However, in the Land of Nihility, The Collector was the absolute ruler. No one would offend The Collector for the lives of two slaves.
Now, seeing Kytheron and Jean, a glimmer of hope arose in Katana's heart.
Because a secret was hidden in her heart: the reason for the demise of their Planet was a developing artifact.
"If I were to make a deal with the God before me using this information to exchange for my sister's freedom, I wonder if he would agree."
A thought flashed through Katana's mind, but her face showed an instinctive, mechanical smile. This was the result of her face being modified by The Collector.
Although Kytheron already knew the true nature of the Land of Nihility, he said nothing.
"Esteemed guests, the Land of Nihility was formed from the head of an ancient God."
"Tens of thousands of years ago, My Lord Tivan accidentally discovered this place, and with his wise vision, he immediately saw its inherent value. He then established the Tivan Group here, spanning dozens of star systems."
…
Katana began to eloquently introduce how powerful the Tivan Group's financial resources were, and how wise and brilliant Tivan, their leader, was.
This flattery naturally made Tivan himself very satisfied.
However, Kytheron and Jean were completely uninterested. The two were entirely using their mental power to complain about The Collector's taste and aesthetics.
It must be said that The Collector's overall architectural style in the Land of Nihility was almost on par with Sakaar, ruled by his brother the Grandmaster. To put it simply, it was like the slums in some places on Earth.
Dirty, dilapidated, and a mixed bag of people, it was hard to imagine this was the residence of a Universe Elder who had lived for countless years.
Although the Grandmaster's Sakaar was a Universe junkyard, at least it looked bright and transparent.
However, due to the special environment here, this place did not have the day and night divisions of other Planets; in places without light, it was always chaotic.
But these two brothers shared one most similar characteristic: the tallest building in the very center of the entire area was their residence.
The Collector's collection museum was located right in the center of the entire Land of Nihility, and it was also the tallest building in the Land of Nihility, but it was not much better than the other buildings.
"Please come in. All my collections are here. This is the most complete species museum in the entire Universe."
As a slightly old, dark red hatch opened, The Collector proudly welcomed Kytheron and Jean inside.
Jean had expected that beneath the dilapidated exterior of the building, the interior decoration would be resplendent, but after entering, she found that it was consistent both inside and out.
The enormous reception hall appeared ancient, dilapidated, and extremely cramped. Countless transparent containers were displayed all around, filled with various animals, skeletal specimens, and strange life forms, looking like a cosmic zoo.
"Teacher, look!"
Jean suddenly saw a dog wearing a spacesuit in a transparent container. Most importantly, the emblem on the spacesuit was from the former Soviet Union, which piqued Jean's interest.
"Beautiful lady, are you from Earth?"
Suddenly, the dog actually transmitted its words to Jean through mental power, which surprised Jean even more.
Kytheron knew the background of this space dog. Its name was Cosmo (the name reversed was the capital of Big Brother), an animal launched into space by the former Soviet Union for experiments, but it gained psychic abilities due to genetic mutation in space.
However, Kytheron's attention was not on this, because from these collectibles, Kytheron sensed several beings whose strength was no weaker than Thor after his awakening.
