The tailor adjusted the sleeve of Adrian's charcoal-gray suit before taking a careful step backward to study the overall fit. The spacious dressing room inside Cross Tower's private executive residence was lined with full-length mirrors, polished walnut panels, and racks of custom-made formalwear, yet despite the luxury surrounding him, Adrian found himself paying very little attention to any of it.
The engagement suit fit perfectly.
That wasn't surprising.
Nothing associated with the Cross family was ever allowed to be less than perfect.
"Raise your left arm for me, please."
Adrian did as instructed without a word, watching his own reflection rather than the tailor moving around him. Another pin disappeared into the fabric, followed by a few quiet adjustments around the shoulder before the older man nodded with quiet satisfaction.
"Excellent."
The tailor smiled politely.
"I believe we're finished."
Adrian gave a small nod in return.
"Thank you."
