The conversation lingered comfortably around the breakfast table long after the food had begun disappearing from our plates.
Liora had somehow transitioned from describing Paris to attempting to convince her mother that they should all travel there together one day. According to her, the city contained enough bakeries to justify an international vacation on pastries alone, and she was prepared to defend that opinion with alarming determination.
Grace simply smiled into her coffee.
"I'll think about it."
"That's not a yes."
"It's also not a no."
"I'll accept that."
Liora grinned triumphantly before reaching for another piece of toast.
"I'll consider it progress."
I laughed quietly, watching the two of them with a warmth that settled comfortably inside my chest.
The past few weeks had been filled with cameras, interviews, flights, and expectations. Sitting here, listening to Liora negotiate an imaginary family vacation over breakfast, felt almost surreal.
