Granny signed something to her, then turned and left.
Ivy Tanner went back to watering her vegetables, paying no mind to his threats. 'If he has the guts, he can come deal with me himself.'
And as it turned out, the very next day, the man actually came. He was alone.
As Ethan Kingsley approached the log cabin, he saw her from a distance, crouched on the ground. She was carefully reaching a hand toward a vegetable plant, though he couldn't tell what she was doing.
Just then, Granny suddenly came out, signing frantically as if something terrible had happened.
Ivy Tanner looked up at her, smiled, and said, "Granny, there's a caterpillar here. It's so cute!"
