Claire Sinclair held Old Master Quincy's hand and whispered, "Grandpa White-beard, do you remember back at the Third Hospital? You and my grandmother shared a room, and a girl brought you food every day."
Old Master Quincy seemed to recall something, and his ragged breathing steadied slightly. "Quinn, I remember it was you."
Claire Sinclair smiled and shook her head. "You're mistaken. My sister had already left for the training camp by then. I was the one taking care of you. It was always me, never my sister."
Old Master Quincy stared at her, suddenly falling silent.
Claire Sinclair spoke again. "Grandpa White-beard, it's okay if you don't remember me. It's even okay if you think I'm not as good as my sister. Mr. Quincy is the man I will protect with my life, forever. I will never leave him, and I won't shrink away because of what other people say. I'm married to Mr. Quincy, and I hope you can support us, Grandpa."
