Claire Sinclair glanced at her, said nothing, and silently started to walk around her.
Mrs. Quincy spoke up from behind her. "Claire Sinclair, you cling to Adrian and have torn my Quincy Family to pieces. What is it that you're really after?"
Hearing this, Claire Sinclair frowned, slowly turned around, and said coldly, "What I'm after is something people like you will never have in your entire lives."
With that meaningful parting shot, she turned and left.
Mrs. Quincy snorted and muttered, "Acting all high and mighty. Once you leave my Adrian, you'll be nothing."

Claire Sinclair arrived outside the emergency room. Seeing the man sitting in the hallway, she walked over and sat down beside him.
Adrian Quincy reached out, gently took her small hand, and said in a low voice, "Claire, don't worry. I'm here."
