But a quick glance around the car revealed nothing she could use to defend herself.
The hour-long drive passed in dead silence.
As the surrounding woods grew denser, a castle-like building came into view.
The car stopped on a winding, secluded path leading to the castle. A man in black immediately yanked open the door and began dragging Summer out.
"Let go! I can walk myself!" Summer yelled, swatting away the hand that was about to grab her.
The man in black froze for a second but complied. He and the others simply surrounded her, forcing her forward.
The castle's main doors swung open as they ascended the steps. The four men in black stopped at the entrance, where a man in a sharp suit and tie gestured politely for her to enter.
Summer glanced at him. He was of Asian descent, around five-foot-seven, with a gentle face. He didn't look like a bad guy.
She followed him down a winding series of what felt like countless hallways before they finally stopped at a door.
