Wyatt Winslow and Robin Roland must have made their arrangements. The day after Wyatt told Holly, he drove out to pick up Robin's parents.
Walter Winslow and Joan Sawyer also went to the county seat.
Holly Winslow had classes, and the school wouldn't approve any time off at this point. She didn't get home until nine o'clock and had assumed they would have already finished dinner.
To her surprise, the whole family was waiting for her.
For a moment, she froze. She could feel her importance to this family.
'Actually, I had this in my past life too. I just ignored it.'
She changed into her slippers and said politely to Robin's parents, "Grandma, Grandpa, I'm so sorry. I couldn't get time off from school."
Robin's parents had the same kind faces as she did. But as they were farmers, they looked much older than Walter Winslow and Joan Sawyer.
Robin's mother waved her hand. "It's alright, dear."
