'That damn Mortimer Quincy was laying on the charm so thick he was going to throw his back out.'
She nudged her bare feet under his clothes, trying to find a warm spot.
Mortimer Quincy casually reached over, pulled the blanket from the sofa, and covered her feet. Then, he slipped his hand under the blanket to hold them.
Now that his wife's feet were warm, he began to satisfy his own needs. "Honey, let's continue settling our accounts."
Holly Winslow rolled her eyes. "..."
Then she bared her teeth, mimicking a tough guy from TV. "Quincy the Puppy, why are you being such a nag? Just let it go."
That scoundrel Mortimer Quincy didn't mind the word "nag" in the slightest. 'A nag is a nag,' he thought. 'There are some things a wife simply needs to be crystal clear on.'
He raised an eyebrow. "A nag is a nag."
Noticing something on her teeth, he grabbed a tissue, leaned in close, and said, "Open your mouth."
