Holly Winslow was browsing for plane tickets online when a sudden call came from Mortimer Quincy. The very first thing he said was, "Honey, let's get a room tonight."
Holly Winslow: "..."
She could understand Mortimer Quincy's urgency. After all, for someone who'd been eating his fill for years, abstaining for one or two was pure torture.
She rubbed the tip of her nose. "Aren't we supposed to go home?"
"We'll go back tomorrow."
From the other end of the line, Mortimer Quincy's deep, alluring voice called out again, "Honey."
To Holly Winslow, it sounded a bit like he was sweet-talking her. *Cough.* 'She had zero resistance whenever Mortimer tried that.' She hesitated for a moment before saying, "I'll call Dad and make an excuse."
After hanging up, she called Wyatt Winslow. He answered on the first ring. "Holly," came his voice, "did you land? I'm coming to pick you up."
Holly Winslow had told him that morning she would call after she landed.
