Gu Kai Zhi suddenly reached out and pinched Daya's ear, startling her.
"What are you doing?"

Gu Kai Zhi watched as Daya's ear grew redder and redder. He smiled, his eyes crinkling. The light in them twinkled like scattered starlight, full of affection, as he stared straight at her. Under his intense gaze, a blush gradually crept onto Daya's cheeks.
"You've got some nerve," Daya muttered, then lowered her head.
"I can be even more shameless."
As he spoke, he leaned in closer. Daya could clearly feel his breath.
Seeing Gu Kai Zhi draw nearer and nearer, at the critical moment, Daya abruptly turned her head. Gu Kai Zhi froze in place.
"It's too soon."
Daya turned and walked away quickly.
Gu Kai Zhi's eyelid twitched. He wasn't exactly disappointed, just a little frustrated with himself. He felt like he'd become a different person in front of Daya—impatient, his usual self-control wavering.
