Xue Yue had taken a few days off from school. When He Lang went to pick up the two children, he was surprised to find Qin Haize coming back with Ruanruan. Naturally, his grandfather's guard followed behind them.
"Auntie, I heard from He Ziluo that you're sick, so I came to see you. This is a gift I brought for you."
The guard behind him placed a basket of fruit on the table, then stood to the side without speaking.
Xue Yue was a little baffled. She glanced at He Lang, who just shrugged, as if to say the boy had insisted on coming himself.
'Are all kids these days so thoughtful? He even knew to bring something when visiting the sick.'
Ruanruan asked Xue Yue, "Mom, can I take Qin Haize to see our room? He said he wants to see my toys."
Xue Yue nodded. "Of course."
She watched Qin Haize and Ruanruan leave the room, with the guard following right behind.
