Mad Feng invited everyone to a meal, but June Lowe declined. She had to stay home with her mother.
"What would you like to eat? I'll bring some back for you," Mad Feng asked.
"I'm not a picky eater; I can eat anything. My mother can't handle spicy food, she prefers things a bit milder." June Lowe said, a bit sheepishly, "Actually, I can cook myself. Maybe my mother and I should just eat at home."
"There's no food at home. We'll buy some groceries later, along with pots and pans. You can cook some other time."
Mad Feng told June Lowe to go back inside and look after her mother, then led Tang Xiao'nan and the others to a nearby restaurant. Halfway there, he couldn't resist picking up Tang Xiao'nan and setting her on his shoulders. He finally felt content.
