"I've asked around. Your dad's funds are all tied up. He made a lot of money selling fabric and electronics a few years back and invested it all in a bunch of houses and land. All his cash is locked up in that stuff. Your dad's a fool, spending so much money on houses. What's the use of buying that stuff anyway?"
