Although Nancy did her best to resist, trying everything from pouting to playing cute, Adrian Hawthorne was unmoved. He didn't lower his hands for a second. He even took it a step further and covered her ears, worried that the nasty things some people were saying would corrupt her innocent little mind.
Nancy had already given up the struggle. 'Fine, I won't watch. It's not like this is any more exciting than a movie, anyway. When I'm older, I'll be able to watch whatever I want, and Adrian Hawthorne won't be able to boss me around anymore.'
"It's a shame they didn't catch Storm Xavier."
Nancy was still disappointed that Storm Xavier had gotten away. That man was even more repulsive.
Adrian Hawthorne sneered. "He won't get away."
With Ulysses Spann providing so much leverage, Storm Xavier couldn't hope to escape.
An idea suddenly struck Nancy. "Mr. Hawthorne," she began, "Mr. Xavier has it so rough. Why don't you bring him into your business? Please?"
