In just ten days, Adrian Hawthorne's assets had more than doubled. At this rate, he should be able to accumulate 50,000 in seed money before the New Year, maybe even more. He set a small goal for himself.
Once he saved up 100,000, he would expand his business to other cities. If everything went smoothly, he could become a millionaire within three years.
But Goldie Thorne, who was usually so talkative, had gone quiet, as if something was on his mind. Adrian Hawthorne found it odd and called out to him. Goldie jumped in fright, nearly stumbling, and shot him an irritated glare.
"Are you thinking about that coffee? I'll treat you when we go to Tristone in a few days," Adrian Hawthorne teased.
His expressions were indeed more varied when he was with the Thorne family, not as cold as he was with others.
Goldie Thorne shook his head. "I'm not really thinking about coffee anymore. Right now, I just want to get a TV to take back home. How impressive would that be!"
