As Annabelle spoke, she walked over and gave him a kiss. She couldn't resist giving his handsome cheek a light pinch. "My dear Mr. Grant," she said teasingly, "when will you ever grow up, hmm?"
Leona Grant's eyes lit up. "What did you just call me?"
"..."
Annabelle gave an uncomfortable little cough, pulled her hand back, and quickly turned away. "I'm heading back. I'm so sleepy..."
With that, she started to walk away.
Leona Grant yanked her into his arms, lifted her up, and set her on the railing.
The railing was a round one—not very thick, but sturdy. It wouldn't break under a person's weight, but sitting on it was incredibly dangerous.
Annabelle instinctively threw her arms around his neck. She glanced down at the water, then back at him, using her free hand to smack him. "What do you think you're doing? Let me down, now!"
"You seem scared?"
Annabelle: "..."
'Who the hell wants to fall into the water in the middle of the night?'
