Vivian Yates smiled and said gently, "I'm fine, cousin. I just bumped it."
"Heh."
Leona Grant let out a cryptic scoff. It was unclear what he meant, but whatever it was, the sound made Vivian Yates uneasy.
"Have you eaten? If not, come join us," Annabelle Linton said warmly.
"Okay, thank you, cousin."
Vivian Yates sat down, and the servants brought her a bowl and chopsticks.
Leona Grant watched her with a detached expression.
'How ridiculous. She obviously hates Annabelle Linton, yet every other word is "cousin." I wonder if she even disgusts herself while she eats.'
'...Either way, I'm disgusted.'
Leona Grant put down his chopsticks and said to Annabelle Linton, "I'm going back to work."
Annabelle Linton hummed her assent.
Having also lost her appetite, Ashley Grant left as well.
After the brother and sister left, the atmosphere at the dinner table lightened considerably. Annabelle Linton kept putting food onto Annabelle Ainsworth's plate.
