Leona Grant took a few deep breaths and knocked gently on the door a few times, steadying his emotions.
No answer.
'Still sulking?'
'Alright, I'll let it slide since you're so cute.'
He continued to knock.
After about a minute of continuous knocking, there was still no sound from inside.
'Is she not in?'
'But Madam King said she was.'
Madam King: "..."
Leona Grant's brow furrowed, his expression darkening. "Annabelle Linton," he said, displeased, "open the door. I need to talk to you."
"..."
Still, there was no response from inside.
Leona Grant let out a breath, telling himself to be patient. Who could he blame? His family adored her.
'I have to be a good son.'
He said patiently, "Come on, open up. It's about Grandpa."
"..."
