Leona Grant froze for a moment, then the corners of his mouth lifted into a smile.
Her arms were wrapped around his neck and her long legs were looped around his waist. With her head resting on his shoulder, her shallow breaths ghosted across his ear.
"Don't go..." she murmured, her brows furrowed and her words slurred. Her expression was distressed.
He froze.
Then, an indescribable ecstasy flooded his heart, and Leona Grant couldn't stop the corners of his mouth from curling upward.
He, too, was getting excited. "Annabelle Linton, what did you say?"
"Say it again."
He pecked her on the lips, his voice thick with affection as he said domineeringly, "I heard everything. It's no use being shy. You'd better say it again, or I'll kiss you senseless!"
