Half an hour later, Annabelle finished her shower. She dried her hair with a towel and walked over to the bed.
In the moonlight, Leona's eyes were closed, his long lashes casting a shadow on his devastatingly handsome face. His features were sharply defined—lips, nose, eyes—each one as though exquisitely sculpted by a master's hand.
'He's stunningly handsome.' Even in her detached state, she had to admit it was true.
'But as for him as a person...'
'I'm a civilized person. I can't go around cursing people behind their backs.'
'Starting today, am I going to have to share a bed with him for four whole years, just like in my past life?'
She couldn't quite describe the feeling, but it certainly lacked the anticipation and excitement she once felt.
Of course, she no longer felt the disgust and revulsion she had right after her rebirth, either.
