Aaron Wyatt pressed his lips together, staring at Annabelle Linton without blinking. "Annabelle," he said seriously, "let's be together."
Annabelle Linton was taken aback.
"When I couldn't find you just now, I thought that if you weren't in this world, there would be no point in me living on alone. So let's be together."
"If you don't say yes, then forget it. I'll stay out of your life from now on. So, will you?"
Annabelle Linton just stared at him, unsure of what he was trying to pull.
Seeing that Annabelle Linton remained silent, a cold smirk touched Aaron Wyatt's lips. "I get it."
With that, he turned and walked away.
Watching him walk away so coldly, Annabelle Linton suddenly felt a surge of irritation and bitterness.
In all the years they had known each other, this was the first time he had ever been so cold to her.
Recalling all their shared moments from the past, and especially his vow to never appear before her again, made her chest tighten uncomfortably.
