"I wouldn't dare!" Chase denied it out loud, but inwardly he breathed a silent sigh of relief.
'Sir, you were the one who said you wouldn't be taking any business trips this year. What is all this about now?'
"Should I book your plane ticket right away, then?"
Grant looked at him coolly.
Chase silently wiped away a bead of sweat and explained, "What I mean is, are you planning to leave immediately? What about your schedule for today?"
"Cancel."
Grant's single word made it clear he was leaving right away.
An hour later, he was sitting on a plane to The Sundered Lands, his eyes closed.
'Annabelle, I have to leave this city, this place where we lived together, for a while.'
'I hope I can forget you by the time I come back.'
