She watched the dumbfounded expressions on the guests' faces as she despondently removed her veil and walked forward like a puppet.
No one tried to stop her, nor did anyone come forward to comfort her.
In that moment, she felt truly pathetic.
"Annabelle, Annabelle!" The bride, Tiana Taylor, called out to her.
Annabelle Linton snapped back to reality, realizing her eyes were wet with tears.
"What are you thinking about?" Tiana Taylor walked over to her. "I'm the one getting married. What are you crying for?"
Annabelle Linton gave a faint smile and wiped away her tears. "I just can't bear to see you go."
"What's there to be sad about? If you feel that way, then just be happy for my sake, you hear?" Tiana Taylor chided her. "I made sure to invite Aaron this time. You two have known each other for so long, so how are you not together yet?
