Naomi Shaw simply couldn't understand her friend's logic. Was she really going to throw away a lifetime of happiness for her family's business? Reality was a cruel thing, indeed. "Am I supposed to be with Ronan Joyce, against my family's wishes, just to be happy? If my dad found out I was seeing him again, the shock might just kill him!"
