Seeing him like this, tears streamed down Naomi Shaw's face. "How could this happen? How? Why can't I understand a single word you're saying? Didn't Leah say you'd be fine once you woke up?"
Thinking of Leah Monroe, Naomi Shaw quickly grabbed her phone to call her, only to see it was already ringing with an incoming call from Leah. She answered with trembling hands. "Leah, he's awake, but why can't I understand anything he's saying?"
"So he's awake?"
Leah asked from the other end of the line. "That's actually why I'm calling you. He injured the part of his brain that controls language, so his speech will be a bit impaired for a while. It'll recover soon, so don't worry!"
"Really? I was so scared… I thought he had aphasia…"
