Jason glanced at her indifferently. "What do you think?"
"How am I supposed to know if you don't tell me?" Jasmine pouted, her voice laced with grievance.
Seeing her like this, how could Jason possibly stay angry with her? Besides, he'd never been a good person, nor had he ever pretended to be a man of compassion.
To him, everyone fell into one of two categories: those he could use, and those who were completely useless.
The idea of him genuinely caring for someone was simply impossible.
He had once witnessed his own sister covered in blood, yet he had still been able to harden his heart and walk away. What chance, then, did this weeping, tiresome little girl have?
"Heh..." Jason's lips twisted into a cold smirk. He had no intention of discussing the matter with Jasmine any further.
Perhaps Jason's cold laugh was merely tinged with resignation and self-mockery, but to Jasmine, it meant only one thing: 'He's angry!'
